The above is fairly typical of the mass emails I routinely send to papers an opinion-makers across the country.
One of the most vital functions any and all of us can perform is educating others, and encouraging them to learn how to educate themselves.
So much of what all of us know about is simply not talked about by the media- ever!
Our mission should be first and foremost the spread of information across the web and the world.
It is very easy to do- for "how to," go here:

Why, thank you, Clive... appreciate the flags.
On the subject of grass-roots activism, there is much one person
( Yeah, that's YOU out there! )
can do with little effort.
The mass emails are one, of course, but don't overlook the power of letters to your local or regional publications, and calls to local talk radio. These have far more influence with regular folks than you may think. I have gotten more calls from local people about letters I've written than I can remember offhand- it does affect people.
Activism is a two-way street... it's true that the fastest and flashiest method is "top-down," like having the President mention a subject dear to your heart, but the "percolate-up" method- from local, to state, to national awareness works too.

than an idea whose time has come...."

Great idea! Keep me on your bump list; it is a real time saver to go right to "the meat".

Hullo, Travis.... glad you stopped by. I suspect you are on Clive's list- I haven't kept a very current one, although I store a few older ones off-drive.
( to avoid the temptation of overusing them )
You really can reach a lot of different people with the tools on that link- including nearly all the "critters" in DC.

It works for me!
Thank you backhoe, from me and so many others.
What would we do without you and the example
you set and the truth you champion. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thanks to both of you- it's a joint effort, and the more the merrier.
