Three Suspected Informers Shot by Masked Men in Downtown Ramallah

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) - Hooded gunmen pulled three alleged Palestinian informers for Israel from their cars and shot them in a downtown square Monday as an approving crowd looked on and motorists blared their horns.

Dozens of people watched as the wounded men writhed on the ground in pain, and some tried to block approaching ambulances. The three eventually were taken to Ramallah Hospital, where one died.

Witnesses said the gunmen accused the three of helping Israel locate Marwan Barghouti, a popular local leader in Yasser Arafat's Fatah organization whom Israeli forces seized last week in a Ramallah hide-out. Israel accuses Barghouti of being behind many attacks on Israelis.

The shooting quickly re-established the supremacy of radical Palestinian militias in Ramallah, just one day after Israel ended its three-week occupation of much of the city by withdrawing tanks and troops.

At least three gunmen pulled the alleged informers from a car in the downtown Clock Square. Cars stopped and blared their horns in apparent encouragement as the gunmen pumped round after round from automatic rifles at the three men on the ground.

As bystanders watched, one wounded man, his arm shot up and his shirt covered in blood, recited a Quranic verse said by those near death.

As the masked men fled the scene, they shouted they were from the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, a militia linked to Arafat's Fatah movement.

A foreign television crew filmed the shooting from the back of the crowd, capturing the gunmen backing away, continuing to fire at their targets and then fleeing.

The dead man was identified as Ibrahim Abdo, 26, of Jifna village near Ramallah.

Ambulances were kept back from the two others, whom hospital officials identified as Maysarah Nijem, 33, and Talat Qadada, 26, both of the Gaza Strip. One was in critical condition with stomach wounds, doctors said.

Dozens of accused collaborators have been executed in recent months. In early April, 10 Palestinians were killed for allegedly providing Israel information. One victim's body was hung from a monument in the center of Ramallah.

During the first anti-Israel uprising in the Palestinian territories in 1987-93, about 800 Palestinians accused of collaboration were killed.

I am sure I will never get to see this footage, but no doubt will hear that this is another Israeli massacre

Can someone please explain to me why it is that when the IDF shoots someone, it's a Palestinian, never a suspected terrorist. But when the Palestinians shoot someone, it's always described as the shooting of a collaborator (sometimes without even the alleged part), but never just described as the shooting of a fellow Palestinian. Go figure.

Here is the Palestinian "collaborator".

FLASHBACK TO THE "PEACEFUL" PALESTINIANS (BETHLEHEM, March 14, 2002)

In Bethlehem, Palestinian terrorists abuse and drag the bodies of men
alleged to have collaborated with, or spoke to, Israelis, March 14, 2002.

Where is Amnesty International? Human Rights Watch? Where are the U.N. representatives, decrying these atrociies? Oh. that's right they're busy condemning the U.S. for it's treatment of prisoners in Guantanamo, and Israel for the "massacre" in Jenin.

Why Arafat?

Joseph Farah

Please look at the photo accompanying this column.

Stare at it. View it carefully. Study the image.

This is the face of Yasser Arafat's terror.
This is what it looks like.
This is how he remains in power.
This is why we continue to deal with this murdering fiend after more than 30 years.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

This one may be worth many more.

The story behind this photo is simple. It's not unique. The victim is called a "collaborator" by Arafat's "police force." He was one of Arafat's terrorists who was suspected of working with Israel in some way.

The important thing to understand about this photo is that this is how Arafat rules his own people – by sheer terror, by brute force, by barbaric tactics that would be unimaginable to most in the West.

Yet, we continue to deal with him. We continue to support him financially with U.S. taxpayer dollars. We continue to give him credence as an international peacemaker.

If you care to know more details, the victim was eviscerated after this picture was taken. I have photos of that, too. I will spare you the more gruesome images.

No doubt the Pali women were passing out sweets after this had occurred. Was that big fat one with the huge glasses seen nearby?

Same as when a black man shoots another black man is just murder, when a cop (black or white) shoots a black man, it is unjustifiable racism.

Giving their willingness to off each other, it seems that all the Israelis need to do is make it look like massive numbers of Palestinians are "collaborating," whatever that means.

These people are a bunch of rabid dogs.

Amnesty International supports the Death Penalty when carried out by Palestinians.

AI opposes the Death Penalty by everyone else.

That's why you'll NEVER see Amnesty International condemn the Palestinian executions, except in passing reference to unnamed "Attrocities" commited by "both sides."

Justice in the PLO

W A R N I N G :  G R I S L Y  V I D E O S

Here is, for the first time available, the video tape (taken by Palestinian television) of a so-called "collaborator" caught by the PA secret service. Without any trial at all (not like the second video in which the collaborator was given a trial of one half hour while he was under the influence of drugs), this man was tied, layed down, and shot repeatedly by Palestinian gunmen. Click the pictures in order to view the video.

This is a video tape (taken by Palestinian television) of a so-called "collaborator" caught by the PA secret service.

This man was given the privilege of an "honorable" trial, in the terms of a PA minister. This means that he was drugged, brought before an "Islamic" clergyman who listed his sins, said a couple of prayers for his dammned soul, and then taken out to be shot. After getting shot by several soldiers, one of them then took his automatic rifle, stepped up to the man, and shot him repeatedly in the head.

Giving their willingness to off each other, it seems that all the Israelis need to do is make it look like massive numbers of Palestinians are "collaborating," whatever that means.

Those who remember the Soviet Union should have some idea of what it takes to get shot under such brutal governments. Labeling someone a "collaborator" in Arafat's Palestinian Authority is, I suspect, the same thing as being labelled a "wrecker" in Stalin's Russia. In my opinion, there is little connection between being a "collaborator" or "wrecker" and actual collaboration or wrecking.

Evidence for these opinions is hard to come by. However, it is hard to believe that Israel could be so competent as to recruit hundreds or thousands of Arab spies, and so incompetent as to have some of them unmasked almost every day. As to Israel fingering people to get the Palestinian Authority to do its dirty work for it, this would be very difficult. If the Israelis were so amazingly clever, they wouldn't have the kind of problems they do have. My totally uninformed guess is that Israeli intelligence relies on "national technical means" (ultra high resolution photo analysis, telephone intercepts, bugs, automated computer analysis of voiceprints, etc.) and, of necessity, does what it needs to do itself.
