You'd think they'd be afraid someone (like Larry Flynt, say) might get hold of the data and expose someone's medical history.
I'm bewildered, too, that the Nazis kept so many records of their activities in the death camps.
Maybe both groups are (were) so cold-hearted or blood-thirsty that they don't (didn't) realize they should be ashamed of murdering humans.
I am merely stating a maxim that does not seem to cerate a dissonance in anyone I know: not every teaching method is appropriate. The question therefore is, how does it apply in the present case?
I would submit to you that, even if the public was not educated about murder, this method would still be inappropriate precisely because one cannot control the "class composition."
You educate your children about sex or, more precisely, morality related to these relations. This may include a talk or two with your teenage son or daughter. You do not make a family discussion out of it and, most certainly, do not involve the five-year old sibling: to the contrary, you make an effort to preclude that small child from hearing the "adult" conversation. As you well know, information that cannot be processed fully may cause more damage than its intended benefit.
Most teachers know this, although they do not think of the matter often, since most of what they teach is not harmful to children. Most certainly, people who advocate morality should behave in a moral --- presently, responsibe --- manner and not justify the means by the ends they seek.
Thus, the demosrtators may have been on high moral ground in terms of the reason for and the content of their message, but the delivery was irresponsiblem, harmful to the unintended audience and, therefore, wrong.
Vote pro-life.
Like the demonstrators, you concentrate on the reason for the demonstration, whereas I addressed the method.
Even in war, we attempt to minimize collateral damage. Here such damage is inflicted on "born" children. Since this is avoidable, I find no justification for it. A million murders that you protest do not justify your destruction of the psyche of a five-year-old that happens to be passing by.
Please see the previous post.
So, to show a picture of a murder victim is horrific, but the murder itself was not so bad.
To show a picture of someone who was tortured is horrific, but the act of torture was not so bad.
To show a picture of a child beaten by a parent is horrific, but the act of beating the child was not so bad.
To show a picture of victims of Nazi death camps was horrific, but the act of gassing the innocent victims was not so bad.
Hey, I think I've got the picture now. It is a parallel universe in which the pro-aborts live.
I don't understand either how to explain why people murder innocent life in the womb......and I'm 43-years old
...how do I tell her that those are unborn babies when she is very excited about her aunt who is pregnant with twins?
How about the truth: we murder only the babies we don't want. We want your Aunt's babies.
I'm 100% sure your 3 year old will think you are a hypocrite as much as I do
The ones that I've participated in have many warning signs before the "yucky" signs. Drivers are warned about what they will see. They have plenty of time to turn around if they don't want their children to see them.
Translation: Whether you are in favor of murdering children or against murdering children, we can all agree to protect our children.
I was about 14 when a woman libber teacher described the joys of abortion to my high school class. She didn't mention that the procedure kills the baby, only that the "fetus was removed". I raised my hand, and asked how they do this without killing the baby. She danced around the issue, but finally admitted that it did kill the baby. I was horrified, and to this day the thought of abortion still sickens me. I went home and discussed it with my mom. She put me in touch with a right to life organization. I had them come and speak to the class.
When my daughter was about 12 she asked what the word "abortion" meant. I truthfully told her. She too was horrified. I told her that when I learned that I was pregnant with her, my HMO immediately offered to schedule an abortion, and that she was blessed to have been born to a mother who values life. My daughter appreciated hearing the truth, and I believe that this kind of information should come from a parent, not a liberal extremest teacher.
You come straight out and tell them what it is and that its wrong to kill unborn children thats what i did and my child now 10 years old knows ABORTION IS MURDER and i started talking to her about such things around the age of 4 so she knows and understands its murder
Do you lose any respect when all types of socialist swill is forced down public school children throats
I didn't think so.
Children see all kinds of things that they don't even tell you about. Some parents are too overprotective now days. How do they think all the previous generations of children survived and grew up without all the counselors?
