Seattle Freeper Meet Report!

Saturday at noon, several of the Washington chapter met for lunch and mini get together at Ivar's on the Seattle waterfront. In attendance were: Holy Scroller & Holy Scroller Daughter, Macbeth, Billthedrill, Publius, Judai, Poised Woman, Libertina and of course myself.

We raised our glasses for our traditional toasts:

To President George Walker Bush, (man, it's a nice change to be able to toast your President!)
To our Godfather, Ronald Reagan,
To our spiritual Godfather, Barry Goldwater, and
To our host, Ivar Haglund (may he keep clam)

A great time was had by all, but by the time I remembered I had a camera, BilltheDrill had to leave, so we took a quick picture:

and then figured out we needed the flash.....You can barely tell, but that's (starting from the left) Judai, BilltheDrill, Poised Woman, Libertina, me, Publius, Macbeth, Holy Scroller and Holy Scroller Daughter.

By the time I figured the flash out and got ready for another picture, BilltheDrill had made his escape and Holy Scroller had left to find a cash machine, so all I got for a semi-quality group photo was Judai, Poised Woman, Libertina, Publius, and Macbeth:

No, Judai didn't just win the lottery, she was trying to figure out the bill when I said "smile!" Here's a better lighted shot of the same group, before they decided to look at the camera:

And lastly, here's a great shot of our gorgeous Libertina (too bad she has her eyes closed!) with Poised Woman getting ready for their picture-taking. I caught them off-guard!:

Well, I finally got it done! It was so nice today, I was outside for most it, enjoying the weather. Got my yard cleaned up, lawn mowed, boat cleaned up and ready for the season, and spent some quality time with my family. By the time I figured out how to upload images and get them to appear on this thread, it got to be this late. Sorry for the delay....

Great job SW, you did it! Although I'm not quite ready for the giant Hollywood type photos... BTW, is that a bit of clam coming out of my mouth or just shadow? And where is the picture I "approved"???? LOL It was a great time. So much so that I'm going to specifically set aside a time block for "business" during the next one! Hi H. The pictures are even bigger - I like to take pictures with maximum resolution! I sized them down to make them fit here. Even so, I bet those with dial-up access are struggling....

I think I might have walked right by the table then...The snippy little hostess was very vague about where to go to announce myself...Your pictures look like you were against the window where as the reserved table they showed me to was in the Center of the furthest room from the door....I'm a big goateed guy wearing a blue blazer and striped shirt...I walked right up to the table in the center and asked them if they were Freepers...you might not have heard me say it... DANG IT!!! Now I know who to look for...hadn't seen any photo's of PS Chapter when I went...Que Domage...More so since some of you drink martinis!!! Bombay Saphire UP with all the drunken olives the skewer will hold, and DON'T Stop Bringing THEM!!!
