A fourth case of HIV infection has been confirmed as authorities follow leads stemming from a Huron college student charged with exposing a woman to the virus after he knew he had it.
"There is a clear connection to the Huron incident," state Health Secretary Doneen Hollingsworth said Monday.

They ought to perform some surgery on him while he sits in jail...

"He's not a serial viral killer," the elder Briteramos said. That's nice. Except for the fact that he is a serial viral killer.

Nikko is not a threat to the community and would not attempt to leave if he were released, his father said.Excuse me!?!?
He's already shown he's a threat to the community; at least the female half of the community!

"He's not a serial viral killer," the elder Briteramos said. Not yet, anyway.

"He's not a serial viral killer," the elder Briteramos said. Maybe not, but the effect is the same: he ruined and probably shortened the lives of five people.
If his father understood that, he would have raised his child to be a responsible person. Instead, the 18-year-old is reportedly surprised at the reaction. He does not even have a habit of thinking about consequences of his actions.

It is ironic that a state that has losed a malignant infection on the rest of the country is confronted by a comparable internal problem. Dashole's American-hating, class warfare negativity is to the rest of the country as this kid's HIV disease is to the folks of South Dakota. The Lord works in wonderous ways.

186 tested so far in Huron area This kid has a problem, HIV or not.
To: KQQL
186 people? What are they doing up there? I think it's the girls fault. Did he rape her?
To: KQQL
Nikko is not a threat to the community and would not attempt to leave if he were released, his father said.I would tend to agree. He should be released on bond. Of course, the court needs to confiscate his weapon (his penis)until the case has been resolved in court.
After all, we don't release "alledged" armed robbers on bail and hand them their gun on the way out of the jail, do we?

Ahh, so God sent HIV to SD in retribution for electing Daschle? Yeah, that's how God works.

I think the high number is a function of all the partners of his partners...
BTW, Huron is not exactly Harvard.
And I dare say these stories answer my question as to what exactly folks in flyover country do with their spare time. [Just kidding.]

186 people? What are they doing up there? I think it's the girls fault. Did he rape her?Having been there quite a bit, I can tell you what they are doing, other than this: Cow tipping; getting drunk; being killed in drunk driving single car accidents; gambling.
Even in the puny high schools in SD, most graduating classes loose a couple to drunk driving accidents on some two lane road in the middle of nowhere. The ice don't help none either.

...6'7 freshman Nikko Briteramos should strengthen our post position....From the school's website.
To: KQQL
But..but...but...
These kids, I'm sure that they were properly educated (indoctrinated) by our public schools in the use of condoms to prevent STDs. Darn it, it's the school's fault for not teaching them to be safely promiscuous. We need more government funding of sex ed programs in South Dakota!
AIDS, after all, is caused by a lack of funding.

I don't have much sympathy for college students engaging in casual sex.
To: wbill
A huge percentage of the students there are from out of state. Those not from out of state are from the reservation.

the sad thing is that the woman Nikko had sex with probably passed HIV virus to more people.Actually, the good news is that women are a natural "firebreak" to this desease, at least from a sexual perspective. Unless they are practicing anal sex, which is much more popular in Europe than over here (which is why more women have and spread the disease over there).
Aids is still a disease of anal sex and shared needles. So unless one of these two was performed with this guy by any of those being tested, there is very little risk that he spread the disease to anyone.
With "normal" sex, it is hard for a woman to get Aids from a man, and substantially harder for a man to get it from an infected woman. This guy does need to control his "urges" though.

On the bright side, this guy shouldn't have to worry about bending over for the soap when he gets to prison.

THis is a geometric problem, 4 girls infected, how many other did he have sex with who are not infected, then how many sexual partners did they have?
The kid is a menace to society 60 years works, he'll be dead from the disease before the get out.

HIV has another element that no one has yet addressed. When we first started seeing AIDS patients in the early 80's, I was puzzled by their sexual kamakazee attacks upon hundreds of people. We had one guy that boasted of giving AIDS to 500 people! I wrote the first article which described this syndrome. It has entered the medical lexicon as AIDS psycosis. Brain fluid swelling causes stimulation of the hypothalamus. You need to keep this guy locked up, period.
