Bless you! What a wonderful memory that must be. Tears come to my eyes when I recite the Pledge of Allegiance, so you can imagine what the military songs do to me...I do not believe there is anything glamorous or beautiful about war, so the men who take up that grim task so far from comforts of home and comforts of love in defense of our nation--so our children can sleep in peace--have all my admiration, including those in my own family.
