I agree with you, but it is very possible that the U.S. government had nothing to do with this except act as the authority that carried out the "protective" action. I could pick up the phone right now and have someone I don't like added to one of these "no fly" lists.

In short, this is the risk you run whenever you make a government agency responsible for the safety and protection of a certain group of people.

The (no fly) list is a compilation from intelligence agencies and is shared with the airlines.

Everyone who has ever been monitored by the FBI or CIA? Or the DEA?. Or your local police? Or the IRS? Or the ADL?
