Daschle was busy running his mouth to reporters about how utterly disappointed he was that the administration knew about 9/11 ahead of time and never told the little emporer.

He made no mention of the fact that the reports of possible hijackings of airplanes were passed on to higher level members of Congress and that includes him.

Bush can hardly wipe his rear end after a good sit down without Daschle calling a press conference to complain that he wasn't informed about it.

Frank Robinson was a great player. What is the connection? Losing manager fired in both leagues???

Great analysis!

Don't forget the corrupt trial lawyer that wants oh so bad to be President, Sen. John Edwards (D) NC. Sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee. Oh yes, and Mr. Scary Gary Condit on the House side.

Add in Hastings & McKinney and we wonder why we have problems?

Daschle the ILLIGITIMATE SENATE LEADER

They can't get over the fact Bush still won the election

Actually, they can't get over the fact that he's poised to win again.

The bottom line to this whole farce is that these memos which Gebphart(?) claims not to have seen until this week were given to Congress (including Gebphart) by the White House within days of Bush receiving these vague, non-specific threats!!

At the time, Bush was concerned enough to alert the FAA and -- some other federal agency, and that was back around July, 2001.

In fact, Gebphart was forced to back off once it was pointed out to the public that he had indeed been given this information last July(?). Gebphart was left to mutter something about the need to conduct an investigation, unwilling to openly admit defeat.

Bumping for incisive analysis.

Democrats think they have a smoking gun, but actually they've just been smoking crack.

You may be on to something...but all this is is the latest in increasingly desperate and hysterical attacks by the party that is now absolutely certain that it HAS LOST the Senate and HAS LOST House seats -- and in mid-terms when the party out of power NEVER LOSES.

That is why their rank desperation has risen to sheer insanity.

They're only making it worse, and assuring that their defeat will be even more resounding and devastating than if they'd quietly been a dignified and truly loyal opposition.

I'm really crying for them......not.

From the Washington Post:

U.S. District Judge Alcee L. Hastings was convicted by the Senate (in 1989) of engaging in a "corrupt conspiracy" to extort a $150,000 bribe in a case before him, marking the first time a federal official has been impeached and removed from office for a crime he had been acquitted of by a jury.

Hastings's conviction was reversed by a U.S. district judge in 1992 – two months before his election to Congress. Judge Stanley Sporkin said that Hastings should have been tried by the full Senate and not by a special 12-member committee, which convicted him on corruption charges. It was the first time a Senate conviction was overturned by a federal judge. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Jan. 1993 that federal courts had no authority to review the procedures of a Senate impeachment trial. But the decision had no effect on Hastings' congressional career, which continues to this day.

As I recall, Hastings case was thrown out because the wiretap on the perp (whom Hastings called to solicit a bribe)was thrown out. So a Federal judge overturned his Congressional conviction, just in time for his swearing-in, and a year later the SCOTUS ruled that a Federal judge couldn't overturn a conviction -- but Congress did nothing. Orrin Hatch, by the way, voted to acquit Hastings.

I'm pro-life, but reports like these make me wish all the traitors in Congress would drop dead.

leaked this to CBS to make Bush look foolish

CBS is owned by Viacom, Inc. and has a very strong anti-Republican agenda.
Remember, this is the same company that edited the Hillary video, changing background BOO's to Cheers...
The same company short-circuited Senate influence peddling laws by ADVANCING Hillary her multi-million dollar book deal...

I hope all of you here remember to boycott

Frank Robinson won the MVP in the NL with the Reds, and in the AL with the Orioles. I was shooting for the famous in two "leagues/impeached in two branches" angle, with Alcee playing the role of MIP, Most Impeached Player. One of the worst analogies I've made, I'm sad to say (long day excuse).

Here's a picture to help forget the bad baseball reference.
