House Minority Leader Richard A. Gephardt backed away yesterday from earlier suggestions that President Bush had failed to act on warnings that might have prevented the September 11 attacks.

"I never, ever, ever thought that anybody, including the president, did anything up to September 11 other than their best," the Missouri Democrat said on "Fox News Sunday."

He sees that the people didn't fall for his attempt at mudslinging. The only thing worse than purposely letting civilians die to get an agenda passed is to blame someone for letting civilians die so you can pass your agenda.

Hee hee. Gephardt didn't think the news was going to get out that he and DascHOLE had received the same briefings as President Bush!
Thought he would get away with his lies, but oh welll.........Gotcha!

Thank God for Drudge, the Internet, Fox News, and forums like FR.

This crap from the Dems would have worked like a charm (and did) as little as 6-8 years ago. Now it gets refuted almost before it gains any traction, and the snakes head back into the tall grass, waiting, hoping, praying for something, ANYTHING they can pounce on. It hasn't happened yet, but they keep hoping, and "we" keep countering with the truth. The only people who end up believing their garbage are the "true believers" (actually, they don't believe it either but they lie for a living), and the rapidly dwindling number of people who rely on the network news for their info.

Now, Dickie, get back under that rock where you belong.

But when asked about his rhetoric, Mr. Gephardt said on Fox that "sometimes people overreact to things and think we're in a political campaign. This is not about politics."

Hee Hee is right!!! Mr. Congressman, Sir, words matter. Unless you continually contradict yourself, in which case, nothing you say matters.

Gephardt is afraid that any real probe would lead directly to x42.

Two things which make it harder for Dickhardt to lie:

1--The popularity of Fox News. The Dems have never experienced fair and balanced before, and without the networks doing their bidding in spinning, the task is harder. Some arguments evaporate in the light of truth and don't stand up to the slightest logical challenge.

2--W. Bush is NOT is father. He's a banty rooster and not a pushover or "let's rise above this" gentleman. He called them on their act and nipped their criticisms in the bud.

It also doesn't hurt to have the history of Clinton's failures in the past as well as the facts of the Democrats' pre-Sept 11 security briefings. They must have realized that they are culpable for their own failures to connect the dots as well as liable if any of their rantings result in security leaks and compromise.

Bwwahhhahaahahsh!!! First Hillary backpedals, now Gepfart! This disgusting plan on the part of the Dems must be polling VERY bad. Could it be that the sheep are finally wising up? I don't know - Feinstein came out with some crap about trying to warn Bush herself. But then on the news I saw he issuing comments and it seemed even SHE was backpedaling from her original comments, within a day. I must say her original charge, while not the most loathsome that I heard, clearly appeared to be the most silly. Everybody had to be asking themsleves: "If you knew so much Ms. Winestein, why didn't YOU warn the American people yourself?" Heh heh tee hee. The Dems are really losing it!

." But Mr. Oliver said the Bush administration has begun a campaign to intimidate the Democrats and the press. "Their line is: 'We're in state of war, and you shouldn't be questioning the administration or the president.'

There's a big difference between questions and lying accusations.

He called them on their act and nipped their criticisms in the bud.

No mas! No mas!

They got hit with a TKO. First Condi Rice, then Cheney, then Laura and George Bush pounded them. Democrats have no one of the stature of any of them and then know it. They were afraid of what was next (thank you Dick Cheney). As you say, they relied on the media and found out fast that was not going to work.

What a punk! Gephardt,Daschle, McAuliff and the rest act like this is a jello fight.

Keep throwing anything they can come up with until something sticks. If they miss, back off, deny they meant it and try something else.

Not only no integrity, but no conviction, and no courage to back up their mouth!

Regards,

The leaders of the Dumb-O-Crats are directing this mess. And then they want the voters to elect one of their party members to be President.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING. YOU CAN'T EVEN LIE WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT.

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.

If I were a girl, I'd want to marry Brit Hume. When he is asking a question, he is setting up for the next questions. He was politely relentless in putting little dickie in the box yesterday. He and Cheney did a terrific job of making the Democrats look like the petulant anti-American trash they are.

Sometimes I almost wish for an all out war, WWII style, a return of the draft, lights out, the whole schmear, just so we can start rounding these traitors up.

Then I take a deep breath and realize that they're slowly doing the job on themselves and their lying, self-serving BS is being seen for what it is and the American people, for the most part, get it.

Arkansas Democratic Party

or if that doesn't work...http://www.arkdems.org/cgi-bin/FormMail.pl

If you would like to contact them you can use 72203 as a zip code for Little Rock, AR. Any street will do(such as Clinton Avenue). They aren't smart enough to figure it out.

Day 1: Gephardt says, "The president knew."

Day 2: Polls. Bush at 75% popularity; infomation shows DEMS were briefed.

Day 3: "Let's not be so quick here. No one could have known."

Day 4: Bill Clinton says, "Hey, I just read about Osama Bin Laden when I picked up the paper today."

New spin on Fox this morning, courtesy of Rat pundit David Corn (who is getting creepier looking by the day):

The White House looked bad on this because they overreacted.

I swear he has said overreacted 5 times in the last minute.

I heard that "overreacted" claim a number of times on the Sunday talk shows yesterday.
