"PS: Didn't you know that your taxes went and paid for the comfort, convienence and lifestyle of every liberal politician the likes of Bawney Fwank! ;^)" Indeed I do know. My tax dollars in part go to fund scumbags in every section of government. Which is why I fight for every dollar the government forces from me. What I'm saying is that Catholics - particularly those in Massachusetts in Illinois where the leaders are corrupt - need to voice their displeasure with their wallet. There are other places to give to God, and other causes just as worthy.

Frankly, most of us would love to see this guy in jail. The thing is, the Church doesn't run civil jails, that is up to the civil authority. What do you expect the Church to do? Lock him up?

ok, so you're using the word "heretic" like a 20 year old journalism major uses the word "fascist" when describing George W. Bush. No, I'm using the word correctly. You sound like a 20 year old journalism major who needs a remedial course in vocabulary. Did you attend public school?
heretic (hèr´î-tîk) noun
A person who holds controversial opinions, especially one who publicly dissents from the officially accepted dogma of the Roman Catholic Church.

Marcoux got his blackmail a long time ago. Weakland should have resigned then and faded away into obscurity. His arrogance finally caught up with him.

ok, so you're using the word "heretic" like a 20 year old journalism major uses the word "fascist" when describing George W. Bush. No. He does not believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church, and was trying to change the Church to fit his own image.

Given enough time and money the Cathedral can and should be be restored to a Catholic Church.

The Vatican announced the decision without comment and gave the archbishop's age as the reason for the retirement. Probably because their comments weren't fit for family hour.

Well, that's not heresy. I'm not a big fan of this guy but it's not heresy. He would be a heretic if he ordained married men or woman. It is not heretical to be an advocate of these issues. After all there have been disagreements on church teachings as long as it has existed on earth. Even at the council of trent the falibility of the pope was debated. these people were not heretics.
