Amore, one thing that came out in the opening statements--the police didn't interview the van Dams separately. They found out about the lies from the others at the "party."

I think it would be normal to do that at first, but not in all 6 interviews. You say they only ever interviewed them, pardon the pun, jointly?

Still, the bottom line in my mind is that the police did not rule them out willy-nilly. They kept coming back because they discovered discrepancies in the parents' stories.

technically, the ME did not state that danielle was killed well after feb 5, he said date can't be determined if it was late feb or early feb.

Yep, now you're headed in the right direction. Danielle was almost five feet tall. Am I the only one that has noticed Danielle was wearing a ribbon around her neck? Pardon me if that doesn't mimick a choker. I guess that might have been the style the other kids were wearing too. I don't know the styles for young girls these days, but it struck me right away when I learned the lifestyle of the parents.
