Up until September 11th, some of my best friends were a group of arabs who would have been described as anything from non-religious to "moderate" muslim. The first weekend after 9-11, my wife and I were invited to the home of one arab family for dinner - us and three different arab households. I expected the conversation to be something like the example set by first-generation Americans since 1776, i.e. "let me go help and point the SOBs out".

Man, was I ever wrong. These "moderate" muslims, one from Iraq and one from Lebanon, and one "non-religious" arab, from Lebanon, all living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, each told me that it was America's fault.

Screw 'em.

"And their brothers, and their cousins", if that's typical of muslim thought. They're former friends.

You bet it would, because Jews and Blacks haven't been doing the stuff that Militant Islamic Extremists between 17 and 40 have been doing all along.

When identifying the terrorists we are at war with, you should not exclude the U.S. born black and white Militant Islamic Extremists.
Two examples come to mind.
John Walker, a white man.
Moussaoui's Oklahoma roommate, Mr. Menepta, was a black man born in St. Louis (formerly Melvin Lattimore) who convertred to Militant Islamic Extremism and was connected to the 1993 WTC bombing as well as the OKC bombing in court testimony.

If you read the articles, they have been changed to give the impression that Armitage met after Sept. 11th. There is a whole lot of humbug going on.

The India Times article has been suppressed.

And remember, Chandra Levy was working on the McVeigh execution before she was murdered. At first, I thought she was only helping to coordinate the media presence for the execution, but when I went back and looked, Condit said early on that he had some conversations with her about her growing interest in the work of the FBI and how she might like to pursue a career there. I do wonder if Condit's presence on the intelligence committee, his extraordinary secrecy which has always seemed to me to indicate a much larger story than just Chandra's life and death, and Levy's work on the McVeigh execution could have something to do with her death. Not sure, but a thought.

Why do you think the United States is hated by these countries and who was responsible for OKC bombing?

The ADL and Southern Poverty Law Center said it was white supremacists. Then they said that white supremacists were a miniscule problem in this country. Now the Iraqis are a target as we are discovering that agents provocateurs were rife in Mc Veigh's group.

Join the "enemy of the month" club.

The irony is that those doing the name calling, are the ones profiting from this. Ask yourself, who profits?

They decided the real target was right wing Christians, hate radio, and the so called militias.

I believe the Clinton's were always trying to find the best way to destabilize our society and possibility declare martial law. Too many of Clinton's acquaintances had reported that he never wanted to leave the White House. So after the OKC bombing, he believed that his best bet was to accuse an enemy within, the enemy who perhaps knew his real stripes--the conservative right. In the end, it was the REAL enemy, the Islamists, who paved the way for the type of reforms of American society that the Clinton's could only dream of. Hence, HIllary's sour face during President Bush's address to the nation following 911. They made the wrong choice and Pres. Bush has received the power they so desparately tried to grab.

The answer to all hatelady's questions is....Council of Foreign Relations members between the ages of 40 and 80.

She is a part of the agitprop...stirring up discord for big profits.

Does Richard Armitage belong to the CFR? Hmmmmm.

Thanks for posting the link.

While the Pakistani Inter Services Public Relations claimed that former ISI director-general Lt-Gen Mahmoud Ahmad sought retirement after being superseded on Monday [8 October], the day the U.S. started bombing Afghanistan], the truth is more shocking. Top sources confirmed here on Tuesday [October 9], that the general lost his job because of the "evidence" India produced to show his links to one of the suicide bombers that wrecked the World Trade Centre. The US authorities sought his removal after confirming the fact that $100,000 were wired to WTC hijacker Mohammed Atta from Pakistan by Ahmad Umar Sheikh at the instance of Gen. Mahmoud.

Senior government sources have confirmed that India contributed significantly to establishing the link between the money transfer and the role played by the dismissed ISI chief. While they did not provide details, they said that Indian inputs, including Sheikh's mobile phone number, helped the FBI in tracing and establishing the link.

The reason that the FBI had trouble pinning the OKC bomb to homegrown militias is that the US is a very tolerant country. Other countries have had years of racial strife and bigotry, but our country has to have agent provocateurs, like some posters on this thread to create a jingoist fervor.

At first OkC bombing was exclusively sold as a white supremacist act, now that a war in Iraq is desired, a Middle Eastern connection is being brought forward. Posters to FR were bringing up the ME connection years ago. Why all of a sudden, is the media catching on? The CFR wants a war in Iraq to facilitate a pipe line.

If you look at coverage of the war in Afghanistan, you see all these young men with expensive artillery. These people do not even have plumbing or toilet paper. How do they afford these expensive guns? They are manipulated by the powers that want war for economic reasons.

Mr. Menepta, who was born Melvin Lattimore in St. Louis, and changed his name in 1989 after converting to Islam, came to the attention of the authorities the day after the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. He testified that an informer told federal agents that Mr. Menepta had belonged to an Islamic group in Norman and St. Louis, whose leaders advocated terrorist acts and killing law enforcement agents.

My only statements did not take a position on Iraqis at OKC. In fact, I have yelled loud and long that the guv's story of McVeigh was hogwash. That last reply to me is irrelevant to what I posted and doesn't negate my refutation of the statements I quoted.

What's to refute. You are a bigot. Christianity doesn't teach people to fly planes into buildings any more than Islam. Why is Atta's religion have anything more to do with it than Mc Veigh's. The people selling this war want you to think so.

They tried with McVeigh and it didn't sail. Too many people found out about the agents in their midst.

No, I am not a bigot. In fact, I am more on your side than you think, but more thoughtful.

Atta's religion has more to do with it than McVeigh's because Jihads are motivated by Islam, at least in the minds of the Jihadists. McVeigh's actions were not motivated by his religion. If there were no Christianity, McVeigh would have still performed his act. If there were no Islam, there would have been no 9/11. The association is clear to any rational person.

Now if you want to argue that this is not the meaning of Islam and that the Jihadists have bastardized Islam, I won't debate it. That same apology was made by me many times in the weeks following 9/11. But, again, any rational, non-ideologue is finding the responses by Islam's defenders, such as you, so weak as to actually hurt their own case.

One addition/question: I have no argument with your last statement about McVeigh and agents. Again, no dispassionate, educated (in this matter) person can believe the government story. But, are you saying that you believe the 9/11 attacks were performed by someone else or were incited by agents provocateurs? If so, please cite some evidence.

Read this article. This man is extremely thoughtful in the matter. I disagree with him somewhat. He doesn't credit it to the CFR, which I do. He agrees that the Israelis are being cast in the role of bad guy, though....Ariel Sharon is meant to be the spoiler.IMO.
