Ben, I gotta tell ya -- If the treacherous NEA and public schools are allowed to continue sanctioning and indoctrinating kids grades K-12 with, "world before country" mantra, the only "patriotism" they will know will be on behalf of the U.N.

What has already happened regarding the singing of the 'World Anthem' on American soil already transcends a typical 'Twilight Zone' episode.

How does one 'believe in trust'???

By ignoring 10,000 years of history.

ALERT!- FR RESEARCH REPORT

The administration has lied about this anthem being the only anthem ever played at graduation. Here is the history of the Anthem:

Early 1996, John Guillot conceives the idea of a “World Anthem” based on the common notes and tendencies of all the world’s national anthems while working on a compilation CD, “Anthems of the World” by Composer Stephen Bigger.

1996-1997 John researches to find a way to create the composite anthem by contacting universities and musicologist across the country.

January 1998, John finds Professor David Cope at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Professor Cope agrees to work with John on the World Anthem Project using his computer program, “Experiments In Musical Intelligence.”

Early 1998, John researches and locates national anthems from around the world. John also searches out and contacts possible corporate sponsors for the project.

Early 1999, John contacts composer Stephen Bigger to collaborate on the World Anthem Project. Stephen provides MIDI files of the national anthems to Professor Cope to be entered into the Experiments In Musical Intelligence program.

November 1999, the World Anthem is generated from Experiments In Musical Intelligence. Spring 2000, Randy Kartchner at Reality Factor Music produces a synthesized arrangement of the World Anthem.

Spring 2000, the lyrics of all the national anthems are entered into Experiments In Musical Intelligence and the composite set of lyrics for the World Anthem is generated.

December 2000, the World Anthem Web Site is launched in time for the Denver Millennium Celebration.

December 31, 2000, the World Anthem is heard for the first time in public at the Denver Millennium Celebration at the stroke of midnight with fireworks.

November 2001, The Colorado Symphony Orchestra performs the first live performance of the World Anthem.

December 2001, the Mindshare Foundation and the World Anthem Project team together with funding from the Tommy E. Short Foundation to further disseminate the World Anthem through outreach programs and events.

January 2002, The Prague Studio Symphony Orchestra records the World Anthem while being linked live to Los Angeles. A sixty five-voice choir is added in Los Angeles with soloist Aspen Miller.

March 2002, a spoken word version of the World Anthem is recorded in Los Angeles with Tony Jay.

March 2002, the World Anthem Project web site gets a new look and is redesigned.

Notice that the first time that the anthem was EVER played publicly was right before new years day 2001. Now I was concerned after reading the article because the administration stated that they had always played this anthem. What? If so, then the school must of been built and completed by the summer of 2000, and that the anthem had only been played once before. Something stank. So I went and looked up the school: Poudre High School. Here is what they said on their web site.

Cache La Poudre Junior High is an amazing little school located on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Our small size of just over 450 students and staff have allowed us to become a community of learners where every student is known and valued as an individual. Our dedicated staff has committed themselves to an innovative teaching style and spirit which embraces the future but still respects our past traditions.

History of Cache La Poudre Junior High School

Cache La Poudre has gone through many changes, large and small. The school started in 1912 and has continued as a school up to the present day. 1999 was the 50th anniversary of the junior high. Even though there have been many changes, we still have the same traditions and pride.

The school started in 1912 in someone's home. In 1913 a building was built next door to where the elementary stands now. It held kindergarten through 12th grade. The present day Cache La Poudre Junior High School was built in 1949 and was Cache La Poudre High School, while the first building held kindergarten through 9th grade. In 1964 Poudre High School was built and the original high school became Cache La Poudre Junior High School. In 1974 the old building was knocked down and the new Cache La Poudre Elementary was built. Even though our school is more than fifty years old, it is still in excellent condition.

Another major change was the addition to the junior high. The addition was built in 19 and was done in two parts. The lunch room was the first addition. It was added because the junior high students had to go to the elementary for lunch. The second addition was the media center and the west classrooms. Before the addition, the media center was in room one. The additions were made because of the rapid growth of Cache La Poudre Junior High School.

A big improvement to CLPJH has been in its technology. When the retired principal, Mr. Crockett, became the principal, the school only had the old Apple 2 Es. There were three of them and they were in the math department. Around 1982, the school got some electric typewriters, which was thought to be a big improvement. The first computer lab added to the school was added during the addition. We now have three computer labs, the North Fork lab, the Poudre River lab, and the Laramie River lab. The North Fork lab has Apple 2 Es, the Poudre River lab, and the Laramie River lab have much more advanced computers. Out of Poudre School District, CLPJH has the most computers per student.

Another award that has been given since 1969 is Mr. and Miss CLP. It actually began in 1966 and was only given to the outstanding male athletes. Because there were no female athletics at the time, there was no Miss CLP award. In 1969, when female athletics began, the tradition of both Mr. and Miss CLP started. Now it is awarded to an outstanding male and female 9th grade student who participates in school activities, such as sports, student council, band, or orchestra. Their grade point average also affects the decision. The staff nominates and votes for the students. Mr. and Miss CLP awards are given out at the end of every school year.nder Construction...

So you caN SEE THAT THE administration AT THE SCHOOL IS OUT AND OUT LYING ABOUT THE ORIGIN AND THE USE OF THE "Anthem".

History of our Building

Poudre High School is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, and is one of three high schools in the Poudre R-1 School District.

Following the district's re-organization in 1962, the Board of Education hired Dr. O.L. Troxel as a consultant to study population trends and facilities and make a recommendation to the Board of Education.

As a result of this study, he recommended to the Board the construction of a new high school. Reasons stated in the proposal were the need to reduce the serious overcrowding at Fort Collins High School, and extend the educational opportunities available to high school students in the district.

These recommendations were examined by both the Citizen's Committee for the Public Schools and the Board of Education. The Board proposed a bond issue to include funds for building the new high school which was passed on December 12, 1961.

Mr. Alfred Watts Grant of Denver was selected as the architect. One year after the bond passed educational specifications for the new school were planned and the general contract was awarded to the Weaver Construction Co. of Denver. Wray Plumbing and Heating Co. of Fort Collins was awarded the mechanical contract at that time.

The cornerstone of PHS was laid June 1, 1963 by the Grand Lodge Colorado, A.F. and A.M. The original building was 142,000 square feet, had 43 teaching stations and housed 1150 students from Fort Collins, Waverly, Wellington and LaPorte. Over the years the building increased in size to 170,000 square feet after several additions. 1965 saw the first class graduate from PHS.

In 1993, a bond was submitted again to the citizens of Fort Collins, with provisions for the remodeling of Rocky Mountain High School and Poudre High School, and the building of a new Fort Collins High. The citizens passed this bond and construction on Poudre began in 1994.

The new Poudre High School was completed in 1995 at a total cost of $14.1 million by Baldwin Construction. The Architects were Robb, Brenner & Brelig of Fort Collins. The finished building consists of 275,000 square feet with 6 new additions and 157,000 square feet of space (or 90%) remodeled. Student capacity is 1,800 with a current enrollment of 1,300 students.

Additions to the new building include; ten large science rooms, an electronic state of the art Media Center, 14,000 sq.ft. gymnasuium seating 2,000, enlarged Student Commons area, 31 classrooms, 4 networked computer labs, a Mind Center, 6 Pathway resource rooms, Administration/Counseling offices, a 100 seat mini-auditorium Events Center, 500 more parking spaces, 7 acres of intramural athletic fields, expanded training room facilities and equipment, the latest computer technology resources throughout the building, enlarged journalism and darkroom facilities, an outdoor courtyard, expanded Music and Visual Arts departments, additional varsity locker rooms, an enhanced TV productions studio, an International Baccalaureate Center and a unique bronze "River Wall" sculpture.

The Dedication Ceremony was February 8,1996.

Nice additional research. Thanx. So a new building was constructed. Where this building was completed early in 1996. OK. The Dedication Ceremony was February 8,1996. However, the “World Anthem” wasn't composed or heard until December 31,2000. This indicates that the graduation class of 1997 (the first to use the new building), and the classes of 1998, 1999, and 2000 had an Anthem OTHER than the "World Anthem".

Still, it is quite clear that the Administration LIED about the nature, implementation, history and purpose of the anthem.

It didn't make much sense," Erin said. "We live in America, so they should have played it. I guess I would say I was offended."

The kids get it .. why don't the adults get it

I'm 14, and I just graduated from a parochial school full of liberals. My father showed brought me to the Light (Republican) in the Fall of 2000. Ever since, I have spoken out against MTV, and other liberal related items in school to my friends. But, it didn't work. :( I am not discouraged. I am now going into high school, which is also Catholic/Jesuit. When I "run" for the Student Council thingy ma jig, I will speak truthfully against such items, and hopefully my old friends will help me to get elected (I know a buncha younger kids from my old school going there). Don't worry, there ARE kids like me out there, paving the way to help get this country going Right (bad pun, please forgive:) )!!!

Yay, someone else is feeling the 1984 vibes! I just finished reading this masterpiece for the second time- the story of how the World Anthem was composed is frighteningly similar to how the Ministry of Truth generated folk songs for the proles. All by machine, zero humanity.

If we need a world anthem, why not "Ball of Confusion (That's What the World Is Today)" by the Temptations?

Probably the next to the worse thing about this whole mess is that the audience was asked (or told) to stand during the playing of this piece of pooter (Poudre)

Isn't the World Anthem the same song sung by the Eloi as they marched into the caves of the Morlocks?
