I am sure you realize, Mr. President, that these settlements are the main reason for the continued hostilities between the Israelis and the Palestinians. I urge you, as the leader of the free world, to fight terrorism by fighting injustice.

I'm sure the continued hostilities have NOTHING to do with the fact that Israel is getting bombed by suicidal maniacs on a weekly if not daily basis...

When it comes to the MidEast, the Palestinians may or may not have a valid point. But their point is irrelevant at the present time.

Why? Because their actions have crossed the line from legitimate self-defense and have become barbaric, in my opinion. Strapping on a Semtex or dynamite jacket and going after the IDF is one thing, and I have no problem with that. Theat's a military target, and folks in uniforms are fair game.

Putting on that same Semtex or dynamite jacket, and walking into a supermarket or a pizza parlor is another thing altogether. That's cold-blooded murder, not to mention a clearcut war crime by the Geneva and Hague conventions.

The Arabs have tried the military route several times, and have not been able to hack it against the IDF. Well, that's life, and when you try to start a war and get your butt kicked, you might end up losing territory. That's the chance you take.

Before I will give the Palestinian position the slightest consideration, they need to stop these barbaric attacks. Otherwise, I'm backing Israel to the hilt on this one.

****Most Palestinians, myself included, utterly abhor and condemn incidents such as the recent bus bombing at the Megiddo Junction. We grieve over the loss of lives and the suffering of our Jewish neighbors. We look to you, Mr. President, to create an atmosphere in our region that will bring an end to such atrocities****

When will these fools realize they are nothing but a tool of the Islamists? A palestinian is NOTHING but a potential homocide bomber to an Iranian mullah or a Saudi Wahabi. If Israel were destroyed the Palis would be allowed to rot by the rest of the Arab world. Fools, pawns and cannon fodder. That's all they are.

And that pretty much sums it up.

I really think that Rev. Awad, even though his intentions might be well-meaning, simply spits out the Palestinian spin: "Israel bad. Palestinians innocent and good".

One last time...if the Palestinians didn't attack innocent Israeli's, then they wouldn't get the crap kick out of them by Israeli's. It is a very simple equation. The Palies only want to talk about the Israeli attrocities, all the while neglecting (or worse, make excuses for) the homicide bombings.

I hate to sound childish, but the Israeli arguement is succinct and simple: "You started it first!" As silly as that seems, it is true. I fully believe in a divine right to defend yourself. If you are attacked, you don't stop your response (retaliation) until the attacks stop COMPLETELY! If that means that you extinguish the source of the attack, then so be it.

Another fact that the good reverend fails to mention is that Sharon has been elected through a democratic process. Israeli voters put him in the position he is in knowing very well his history and policies.

The Palestinians have not had the opportunity to elect their "leaders." Maybe if they had the chance to vote, without the fear of being killed for voting for the wrong person, they would elect someone who would help resolve the situation. That is not going to happen because those currently in power don't want to loose it.

If the Palestinians want a state, create the environment that shows they are capable of having a country. They need to create an economy. You can't have a country without taxes and you can't have taxes without an economy. No one, not the Saudis, Jordanians, Egyptians, or any of the so-called friends of Palestinians are willing to invest money in the Palestinian areas. There are no laws (or at least laws that are obeyed) to protect their investments. There is no security force to create a climate that is attractive to invesments, to businessmen, etc.

People like Arafat want power in a state that is propped up by aid from other countries, that has no responsibility to behave like a civilized country. They claim that a "Palestinian State" would solve most of their problems. Well, solve your own problems and then a state becomes automatic.

As you are aware, Sharon has rejected every peace proposal put forward to end the Arab-Israeli conflict, be that proposal, Arab, Israeli, European or American. He stood against the U.S. sponsored Camp David Peace Accord that brought about the first peace agreement between an Arab country, Egypt, and Israel in 1979. As well, he was one of the chief opponents of the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference. He was consistently against the Oslo Peace Accords, which were signed on the lawn of the White House in 1993. Indeed, he and his party worked day and night to kill Oslo. Furthermore, he insured that every conceivable condition was put forth so that the Tenet Agreement and the Mitchell Plan would never be implemented. Sharon has rejected all United Nations' effort to resolve the conflict and undermined the Saudi Peace proposal that could bring peace not only between Palestinians and Israelis, but also, between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

What's the problem here? Looks like Ariel Sharon is the one who has not been deceived. God bless and keep him. I especially like the part about killing Oslo.

I agree... The Arabs think it is words and not deeds. They think that if they say what the West wants to hear... their deeds do not matter.

The US cannot reward terrorism... The Arabs have a history of thinking appeasement is weakness. And if violence works and gains... then violence becomes their M.O.

Further to the above:

Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation

The article above came from this website.  Judging by its other content, it is a pro-Palestinian "Christian" hate site and yet another so-called "Christian" organization that has given its mind to the beast.

Anti-Israel = Anti-Christ.  Jesus was a Jew.  Those are two simple concepts that should be written on the heart of all true believers.  If there is fruit that they are not so written, then those people are not true Christians.

Ecumenicism, Pluralism, Ceasefire, Disarmament, Flatteries, Tolerance, Multiculturalism, Diversity, Compromise, Unity, Cooperation, "Peace and Security" are all tools of the enemy used to defeat America and the West.  That enemy is Satan manifested as Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Globalism, New World Order, the Antichrist (and there be many antichrists) and false religion in any form, especially Islam.  "Peace and Security" is what brought you martial law in the form of Homeland SECURITY!

What has become of "the church"?  Ye shall know them by their submit ?

If a wife acted like that, a man just might seek a divorce because of unfaithfulness!  She ran off with Mammon and the love of the World.

Joh 2:16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Now let me see.....who was it that called an illegal Sanhedrin at night for the trial of Jesus Christ?
