As modern technology, international travel and cross-cultural business deals rapidly are making our world a smaller place, we find ourselves coming into contact much more frequently with people of other cultures. Learning a new and foreign sounding name often presents a challenge. Arabic names are sometimes difficult for the unaccustomed ear because of their strong consonants and guttural intonations.
Most Arabic names have unique and beautiful meanings. For example, the name "Muhammad," which is the most widely-used first name in the world, means "revered." Below is an alphabetical list of some of the most popular Arabic and Islamic names and their meanings.

A fellow working a local Food Lion had that name, and I do not think it is a rare name at all. Funny how the author of this little bit of enlightenment left that one out in this little lesson on Islamic civilization.
It would be like going to live in Saudi Arabia with the given name "Crusade."
Is it just me or are all the womens names kind of demeaning. I mean they all relate to the atributes their men find attractive.
I think they need some really tough womyns study groups over there.
Couldn't we send Jane Fonda and the NOW gang over.
I guess he decided he didn't want to be "a servant of God" (Abdullah), but a "father of the multitude" (Ibrahim).
What's the arabic for blood-thirsty animal, I wonder?
What do you find beautiful about it? Islamists that want to destroy America are not in the tens, or hundreds. They are in the millions.
If ANY of the "kind, peaceful, loving" muslims were told my their Imam/Ayatollah/etc to go murder Americans because it was the will of Muhammad, they would immediately do so.
There is nothing beautiful about a group of people that will force you at peril of death to convert to their faith, and not allow another faith in their countries. They are all tools of Satan, whether they know it or not.
The next time you're at the supermarket, take a look at some of the women's magazines in the checkout line. Believe me, these are not just attributes that men find attractive.
I can.
I can also change my mind when the majority of the minority in question condemn by action, not just by words, their miscreants.
