Which "protestant" church have you visited lately, and why?
Whew! The Catholic Church is squeaky clean today, isn't it?
To paraphrase the bible: Thank you Lord that we are not like those (Protestant) sinners.
Could you please tell us the names of these "Infallible" men that the catholic church assures us translated the Scriptures properly?
Actually you just did. Jesus is married. The church is his bride. In following the doctrine of marriage in the Catholic church all priests must step down for they are in violation of this by being the bride of Christ
If I were you and constantly on the losing side of an argument, I would be avoiding debate and fabricating excuses not to engage me too...your position has been one of a RC traditionalist--unwilling to accept any evolution of the church. My hope (prayer) is that it will evolve back into something that Pope Peter would recognize as the perfect instituion he began. I suppose you'd prefer it went back to Latin Masses (that no one understood) and Fridays full of dietary constraints. I am somewhat of a history buff (as you might have guessed) and I note that the early church was unconcerned about marital status, denomination, or degree of sin of neither its clergy or laity--only that, once baptised, they came to the altar during Eucharist to partake of Christ, confessed and pentitent. Such was, after all, Christ's message to all Christians.
Many. I've done missionary work with several. I left Catholicism for a brief time 10 years ago and went to most flavors of protestantism seeking the "Truth." I didn't find it. The Holy Spirit and scripture study lead me home. Why?
