It should be noted that the Taliban regime was supported by Pakistan and other islamic nations as a shining example of pure islam. The Taliban's laws came directly from the Koran. Islam is a terrorist organization.

I agree. For a modern lit class, I had to read Salman Rushdie's book Satanic Verses (A very good and funny book, btw.) which earned him the fatwah/death sentence. By the time I finished the book and the outside reading, I came to a similar conclusion, only I don't think it was a hijacking.

I can't help but think that there is a Book of Revelations level showdown coming. And maybe in my lifetime. Looks like it's all part of The Plan. Certainly, these are interesting times!

Somehow the ideal did not measure up to the reality. The grander the utopia, the worse the horrors in building it. Same with islam.

A common feature too of Stalin's Russia and Mao's China and PolPot's Cambodia -- the total destruction of peoples and utter disregard and hate for individuals in order to build their utopias.

We really need to somehow STOP the construction of further mosques in this country.

Every time I hear the "moderate" islamic mouthpieces on TV or the radio, I see a "Trojan Horse Muslim".

They very cleverly use our tolerance against us: in every Western nation mosques have been the covert terrorist meeting places and planning HQs.

What a concept. Actually Hitler was very clever at using symbols and rituals but stopped short of declaring Naziism a religion. But in the 30s, we weren't as stupid as we are now, so no, I don't think we would have allowed Nazi temples. Today? Terrorist mosques dot the landscape. Tolerance may be our downfall.

We have elevated ultra tolerance to such a level that it will be very hard to regain the mental toughness needed for national survival.

Our de facto "open borders" policy is another example of suicidal ultra tolerance.

Do you remember a Kirk Douglas movie from about 1980 that treated this very subject. In the form of a nuclear reactor in Europe that would mean destruction.
