It's good to have a message board. In this world as it is today - I think we have a need to reach out and touch someone who is normal and centered.

Our Creator must be very sad at what He sees going on in this world. He has given us free will and a soul to put us above animal behavior - and here we have humans that treat each other worse than any animal would treat another. Animals kill to eat and survive - unless they are taught by man to be cruel just for the sake of being cruel.

Anyone watch "America's Most Wanted" tonight? The "female friend" of Edmunds was on and provided about four snapshots of Edmunds. Two were at different times, both times with an eveil look in his face and holding up a hand in the devil horns style (Longhorns in Texas!) It was very disturbing.

Also disturbing was the utter stupidity of the girl (he was a nice guy, blah blah) I think the editors of the show enjoyed highlighting those pics while she gave her childish, zombie like review.

I don't know where the journal was found - I hadn't thought of the possibility that it may have been Elizabeth's and certainly hope not. I sense that there is much more to come next week and was encouraged to hear that NE reporters are working overtime despite the beating they've taken with this story. Someone's got to get to the bottom of this, dark and scandalous as it may turn out to be. I'm counting on them.

Don't you always marvel at the killers review by people who know them?? They are always 'shocked' = he was such a nice, quiet, polite person!!!

Seems like the devious ones have deceit down to a science in order to live a double life. Either that - or people overlook it - as they do with Clinton.

I didn't see America's Most Wanted, but what you said didn't surprise me. Most drug abusers can be 'nice' and deceptive when they aren't under the influence of drugs. However, once they're high or whatever is when the other side comes out.

You are so right in your basic belief! I always tried to compare our human lifes to the animal live. My result was, always humans are monsters ( in our actual language). In the animal world, you will not find killers. That's now very simple, but looking back intoo history, wars were always fought about religious beliefes, and then they went intoo beeing killers, to get the "Christianity" intoo countries, they never heard about before. Think about the Portuguese Heinrich Der Seefahrer. He foundet the modern mapping, which NASA is now using! Humans are very much interested in going on. Churches try to keep their people on a very low, simple minded level. That's the way, they keep their power and get their money. Intellegend people ask, asking is not convenient,..... sorry I'm almost getting lost in my oppinion and I know, I'm getting flamed!

Has anyone noticed any of the family members or friends with black hairy hands?

I still tend to believe the family is not involved. Having said that, I have noticed that the Smarts are blond; the Francoms have darker hair, although it is not black. But after seeing one of them on the TV yesterday, he did not appear to me that he would have the body hair MK described, although I don't know. After the relevations of the NE, I did wonder about gossip on the ground there. The Francom grandfather's funeral took place two days before Elizabeth disappeared. When people get together, they talk. And gossip. If there is any truth at all to these allegations, and it only takes a grain of truth to light a fire, what if that were discussed among people there? Gatherings of people and gossip go hand in hand. And it does not even have to be true. Elizabeth, the very picture of angelic innocence, plays the harp and someone is concerned about her presence in this family. (I think they're a great family. I'm talking about possible consequences of gossiping and the devastation of the death of a loved one.)

Supposedly, the Smarts were going to move into a cabin in the mountains. Does anyone else associated with this family have such a place? This family seems to like to be surrounded by family and friends. I would not think they would move out to where they know no one. Have these types of places been explored?

Did the milkman take a polygraph test? When I asked this last week, I was told he was an old man and had been eliminated. When I saw him briefly on TV today, he was a man probably in his 30's with brown hair. And of anyone, if he was involved, he would have a motive to implicate Edmunds to get the spotlight away from himself. As far as I can tell, these two were the only non-residents known to be in the neighborhood.

I have created my sickness in the past by overindulging in alcohol, but I'm well past my college years now, and keep myself in good health.

Boylan is STILL trying to get in on the act?! Enough already. It's not like she's the only qualified crime sketch artist in the country -- if SLC police want a sketch, they already have one, done by a perfectly qualified artist. Sounds to me as if she's more interested in promoting herself than in getting the case solved.

Why are you assuming that no qualified sketch artist has worked with Mary Katherine? Just because a self-promoting sketch artist who was to be paid by Fox news is miffed that SHE still hasn't gotten to work with her? SLC police have declined to say whether or not they have had a sketch done. Most likely they have.

Great, now Boylan is going on Geraldo to promote herself. Can none of you see why a family in the Smarts' situation would prefer not to have a shameless self-promoter "work with" their daughter? Doesn't anyone wonder why, if Boylan is so incredibly talented and has no outside agenda, the FBI and/or SLC police haven't shown the slightest interest in having her do a sketch?

After hearing today's news, it is likely that the FBI had a pretty good idea whom they were going after, and did not need a sketch. Mary Katherine should have no trouble identifying Ricci, when the time is right for a lineup. Ricci spent 3 months painting rooms in the Smart house, and interacted with the children. If he is the one who took Elizabeth, the brave little witness will nail him.

I do believe Jean Boylan, Marc Klaas, and some of these other individuals have made a cottage industry out of horning in on kidnapping investigations.
