I tried planting my tomatoes two weeks earlier than usual this year. All this global warming talk finally got to me, I guess. A killing freeze on April 25 showed me the error of my ways.

Let's worry about 'the greening of the North' when there are farms in southern Greenland, as there were 1000 years ago.

For a reality check on any global warming claims, always check http://www.john-daly.com/. Among other things, there are extensive links to actual temp data from around the world. The sky is not falling and the earth is barely warming. And always remember that temperatures are lower now than they were 1000 years ago - the frozen country called Greenland was green 100 years ago.

Maybe a new land will be discovered, and those who wish for their freedoms can become the new colonists escaping the oppressive high taxation from Americas kings.
Deja vu.

Also notice---".5-1 degree COOLING!%^&!!" Caused by
one volcano eruption. Do an Alta-Vista search of pinatubo-
Sulphuric Acid concentrations off the scale!! the world
covered by dust--we humans are puny compared to the forces
at work within and around this planet.

You'd think more trees and greenery would be something the greenies would appreciate....but (apologies to John Belushi) noooooooooooo!!! They love barren tundra.

We have shown that the biosphere is indeed changing, due to a climate change that most likely is a direct consequence of human activities (principally in the industrialized countries).

Just where in this article is it "shown" that this particular climate change is "a direct consequence of human activities?" I read it pretty carefully and I didn't see any such evidence. The climate may or may not be warming -- sifting reliable data from the propaganda is almost impossible -- but even if it is I haven't seen any real evidence from ANY source that reliably demonstrates human activity as the cause.

More spincter wiping material.

Agriculture is dying in the north due to the cooling that has taken place over the last two decades. - The limit of arable land has moved south in Russia, Siberia, and Canada. - Wheat crops are failing more and more.

Twenty years of satellite observations have indicated a "greening" trend in northern
regions of the northern hemisphere (boreal regions).

Hey, maybe I'll be able to start the first vineyard in Greenland (or was it
Labrador/Newfoundland?)...since "global warming" let the Vikings do it some time ago...

How does Greenlandic Merlot sound?

Max, love your constant. But in colonial days did they not grow fruit in Georgia? Now they have trouble growing oranges in the southern part of Florida.

Any mention of the Vikings makes me nostalgic. The Northmen knew how to handle Islamic extremists. Burn their cities to the ground, kill all the men, steal all their stuff, enslave their women and children, and sail home.

That was my question. They were doing real good until this sudden leap in logic. There was a Grand Canyon of missing stuff there.
