Heh, heh! I'm still here!

Just saw an interview with the firefighter The President has his arm around in this picture...

He was so thrilled to talk about meeting the President. He said that when the President help up that chainsaw, the President said, "Hey this one's bigger than mine!" Then, this firefighter says to the President, "Mr. President, I'd love to put my arm around you, but I smell real bad." This made the President laugh according to the firefighter, and the President said, "Aw, c'mon over here, I don't care, I'm a Texan!" Well, this firefighter tells the interviewer, "that's when I knew this was a real man!"

Susan came through her breast cancer surgery very well, and although her cancer has been termed "agressive," it is "in situ"..it hasn't spread!

Behold the power of prayers..thanks everyone..

He wants bush to place somebody(its a democrat) to head the FEC. Mccain is using this to threaten the nominees.

He wants the final Democrat to be officially nominated and approved for the Federal Election Commission. Evidently, it's a Democrat and hasn't been filled yet. The woman is supposed to be Daschle's pick but he isn't really pressing for it at this time.

I don't know what McCain's motive is here. Perhaps publicity? Or maybe the final slot needs to be filled so they can move on CFR stuff. Who knows? McCains a fool and I for one, wish no one would listen to him.

Helen Thomas smiles as she is presented with rum cakes to celebrate her 79th birthday

I hope she didn't scarf down too many in a hurry ... with real rum. A tipsy Helen lurching around the room would not be a pretty sight.

I like your coffee vignette. Have you considered getting some "Bush for President 2004" mugs?

86 degrees sounds downright chilly!

Well,
it wasn't!!!!! stomp stomp fume

When you have very fair skin and almost zero tolerance for heat, 86 is HOT. I think it's marvelous that people can cope with 100+ degree temps. I would not last. Anything above 75 degrees with a nice breeze renders me rather pitiful.

Thank you for posting info on the firefighter interview. I had my suspicions about the aroma in that room, knowing how heat and firefighting make a man sweat. What a special thing to meet your president, but to meet him when you are at your absolute grimiest and have him extend such acceptance -- wow.
