So now we have the Right to break the law?

Absolutely. Study the difference between 'unlawful' and 'criminal' behavior.

Also, a jury has the right to 'break the law' by not upholding it.

You do realize that you are speaking of concepts that 90% of the country will never grasp, let alone many freepers?

(sarcasm)I mean, what you speak of is "anarchy"!(/sarcasm)

ok, if you insist, I can give it a try. Never had much success with that, though. Usually I stick to fact and firm opinion based in fact.

Teacher: "Okay kids, here's today's schedule. First you're all going to the nurse's office to pee in a cup. Then we're going to have a shakedown where the doors are locked, dogs are brought in and your lockers are searched. After that, you'll all have your picture taken for the photo ID you'll all be wearing every day. Then you'll have 10 minutes to go over the school's requirements for your uniforms. Oh, and don't forget to be careful in the halls for the men installing all the closed circuit security cameras."

"Then after lunch, we're going to review our wonderful form of government and discuss how free we are all are, and how terrible all those other oppressive countries are. That will be followed by an assembly where we'll all sing the Star Spangled Banner. And don't forget the words either, "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave".

freeee: "Please excuse me, I think I'm going to be sick."

Teacher: "I don't think so, Mr. freeee. You're not wearing your photo ID, come with me."

Of course you can have it both ways. That's why the teachers can teach certain controversial subjects but the school couldn't drug test. Now they do both.

I recall reading that in (at least) one of the moslem countries, I think (but am not sure) that it was Saudi Arabia, unmarried women are subject to random inspections for virginity. If they fail, they are given the choice of immediate marriage or a flogging.

I wonder what the conservatives posting here in support of this drug testing decision think about this? How does this differ from drug testing? Wouldn't virginity inspections further the schools interest in ridding their campuses of illegal sex by minors? I gather many of you think paddling is an acceptable punishment for minors, so we could incorporate that aspect of the Saudi code as well, no?

How many pothead drivers are endangering other drivers in Idaho at this moment?

We're getting closer to being a Marxist society than we are to a Republic every darned day.

I claim we are actually a communist nation, just a well-camophlaged one. Here are the clues:

1) There is no lawful money. All money is 'monetized-debt' of the US, by accepting this money you partake in the 'commune' and underwrite and pay its debt.

2) You cannot work without a permit, your Social Security Number, a system that obligates you to be charitable to your fellow commrades. Charity is good like 'making love' is good, being forced to make love is rape.

3) Nearly all professions and business endeavors require a license. Countless rules and regulations are inflicted on that activity, making it essentially 'state controlled'.

4) The banking systems business losses are underwritten and bailed out by the citizens, the same with major industries.

5) An individuals right to exchange his labor for goods or money is fundamental to the pursuit of life. And as a RIGHT it cannot be taxed -- to tax it means to charge someone to exercize a God-given right. No logic can support this. All taxes must come from other means, government supplies limited liability through creation of corporate 'persons' - since this is a PRIVILEGE offered by government, such 'legal persons' are taxiable. Same with tariffs, offering access to the American market is a PRIVILEGE.

It is communism behind the facade.

ruling that schools' interest in ridding their campuses of drugs outweighs an individual's right to privacy.

What morons, they should be removed from the bench, every last one.

Since studies have consistently shown that stoned drivers are on average safer than normal drivers, none. I admit the result is surprising, but several studies intending to find the opposite have determined that stoned drivers on average compensate for their slightly diminished skills by driving more cautiously.

Yea. Wish I had a dollar for everytime I heard someone I know say "But its the LAW!" -- as if thats all it takes, and, as you say, they view 'disrespect for the law' in any form 'dangerous' and 'anarchy'.

Another thing thats interesting is how they seem to think you have to be some kind of 'great man' before you stand up to a wrong -- a total peon mentality that waits until a great leader tells them wrong from right.

Like an opinion is dependent on the source rather than its intrinsic correctness. I think they view this area as some kind of 'big magic' -- a sourcery that they are incapable of comprehending.

And should do neither. Both are the purview of parents, NOT the (wannabee) omnipotent State.

LOL! Yep. Maybe conservatives posting in affirmation of the Supremes decision would like Shari'a to come to America. Hey, the Muslims are at least consistent and ruthless in stamping out "illegal" behaviour. Maybe the kid who failed the random pee test can be publicly flogged for a first "offence" and hanged on a second "offence". And the parents of course should be stripped of their possessions for having raised such a scurrilous law-breaker and ruining the social order.

As is seen so often here on FR - pay no attention to the man behind the curtain....

I often wonder what it is going to take for the American public to get their collective eyes open and take action then...I realize that it is probably already too late for any peaceful solution to our dilema. I wonder what chance anyone would have to get elected to Congress who ran strictly on the idea of removing ALL unconstitutional (as understood by the founders, not meanings that have been "discovered" since 1913) laws from the books instead of crusading to put more laws on the books.....things that make me go hmmmmm........

I described it once as similar to believing that judges and justices get a "secret decoder ring" upon taking the bench. Without the ring, one can not "understand" common law and the Constitution.

What it is though, is ignorant, socialist minded people appealing to a "presumed" authority, who has the guns behind it, to "force" whatever they want at the time. They just hope that no other "little guys" can come to believe they can understand the Constitution, and continue to push this notion to disuade dissent.

Conservatives: "Oh no! Who gave you that power?"

School: "You did."

Haha. Don't point out their duplicity, they hate that.

A while ago, while stating my position on the death tax (I believe that all other personal taxes should be abolished and that a form of a death tax (for inheretences of over, say, 10 million) is proper in fighting the dangers of dynasty -- but allowing estates to be 'given' freely while the owner is still alive) - I was accused of being a socialist because only they believe in redistributing wealth. So I asked:

How many Conservative representatives support welfare? (all of them)

How many Conservative representatives support the public school system? (all of them)

I guess the bottom line is how many conservatives actually vote in line with thier philosophy?

The lesson is that top-down ideology won't fly. THIS IS WHY PUBLIC SCHOOLS MUST BE ABOLISHED only proper education of the youth over generations can provide for a free America in the future.

This is great! Another slap in the face of Libertarian insanity, and a splash of reason and rationality for us all!

Yes, lets test all the goody-two-shoes who participate in such activities, that will make a dramatic impact on drug use.

I bet the 'greasers and stoners' are laughing thier asses off. Thats got to do wonders for the group warfare in school.

Keep the out-crowd out, see how many school shootings that will buy ya.
