On the eve of our great national birthday party and in the aftermath of September 11, when millions of us turned to God and prayed for forgiveness of individual and corporate sins and asked for His protection against future attacks, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco has inflicted on this nation what many will conclude is a greater injury than that caused by the terrorists.

Seems like these people know how to be a light unto the nations...with a little help from media friends.
1- the "pledge issue." It went Nuclear-Hot so fast it was unbelievable, and while the Left is moving fast to defuse it, it has done a lot of damage.
2- the "wildfires issue." Every living thing fears wildfire, and it perfectly illustrates years of muddle-headed mismanagement. It also reveals the fanatical agenda behind the smiley-face of the ecology movement.
3- the "waste, fraud, and abuse issue." The Left is desperately trying to draw attention away by using the "WorldCom" and other corporate abuses and fraud, but the Government is the real heavy hitter in this department. They can't even account for their own ( our! ) money!
God is not definable. God means something different to all of us.
To the atheist, the obvious definition of God is merely "0".
What's your problem Mr. so and so who started all this?
Oh, 15 minutes of fame!! Yeh, that's what I thought.
Sac
Another angle is the "trial balloon" that was so popular during x42's corrupt reign. I think the reaction was a rude shock to those behind this nonsense.
Precisely!!!!! Now if whoever is involved in plotting Republican strategy for this Fall pays attention.................
Furthermore, I've heard he formerly lived in Florida and filed suit there to get the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" off of U.S. currency...............since his use of the money "forced" him to honor God and therefore violated his personal separation of church and state.
Anyways, the suit was thrown out; Florida courts were too conservative to listen to this bilge. He PURPOSELY moved to California to be IN the 9th Circuit because he knew he could get stuff like this through!!!!
Additionally, he is unemployed and is pursueing his "hobby" (.....if you will), enforcing his will on the rest of America.
That aside, we need Lee Atwater's tactical skills very badly. H@ll, whatever his other shortcomings, Newt Gingritch was a rare tactician until his downfall.
But this really is a once-a-decade confluence of hot issues that could be used, if only the higher-ups have the wits to do it right.
Hey!!!!!!!! Mary Matlin, or anybody else that may be cruising this site this weekend.............Listen up here.
If you have a Senator on the Judiciary Committee, I urge you to write a Letter to the Editor of your newspapers similar to THIS one. We can take back the Senate if we work together.
I can only echo & amplify that- this really is a golden opportunity that must not be passed by.
The way virtually all of the Dems in the Congress & Senate reacted tells forcefully just how "nuclear-hot" the pledge issue is- it may be the "New Third Rail" of politics.
The "Forests are Burning" shows how worthless, bankrupt, and downright dangerous "environmentalist-dictated" land management is.
The "rotten companies & crooked accountants" issue shows why winking at corruption in high places during clinton's years was not just immoral, but hazardous to your pocketbook as well.
