"As for the United States' future in Afghanistan, it will be fire and hell and total defeat, God willing, as it was for their predecessors — the Soviets and, before them, the British."

The above is a direct threat from Mullah Omar. The former taliban chief.

Here is the thread that it was taken from.

There are other "fire" threats made against the USA in other threads but this was the one I was able to dig up

Have you calmed down yet or are you still demanding your right to endanger your community? Accidental arson can be EXPENSIVE in both time and money.

Could any of these have been set by perps in Elizabeth Smart case to cover up their activities?

Since I live in Kansas, where people's rights to shoot fireworks are upheld, I don't have to worry about it. I DO understand in times of fire like Utah is going through right now that fireworks should be limited and I would respect the rules in such situations.

Found out this fire was started by some idiot shooting at the power lines. He got one, and it fell in some dry weeds and the sparks started the fire. I drove by the burned area today on my way to Springville. Pretty ugly sight.
The fire came within feet of some homes. At least none of them were burned and no one was hurt. This fire is pretty much out now. Had some rain tonight, too, that helped.
