This now makes six out of seven polls that Simon has led in. Updating my spreadsheet with a smile...

The LA Times reported last week that Californians are still paying massive retail prices for electricity, in spite of the fact that the wholesale price has dropped drastically. They quoted a business owner who said his CA office was paying something like 16 cents for electric while his Utah office paid about 4.
Let's hope we have a long, hot, summer with lots of Greyouts to lead into a November election.
Any Californian's on this thread have experience with working at the polls? I've never done it and want to this Nov to help prevent fraud. Pls contact me if you have any comments regarding poll sitting.

Look for the borders, what's left of them, to come down even further to provide more Davis votes.
Vote for Simon....he's not insane.

San Francisco is a beautiful city? How, exactly? I'm sitting here typing in a building in the Civic Center area listening to the bums outside fighting with each other. A few weeks ago one of them took a dump right in front of me. This city is an armpit.

I'm over in the Financial District right now, and I have to agree. San Francisco looks nice from Sausalito, though...LOL!

All Davis has to do is move his lips and his numbers dip.I take it you went to the Jackson-Cochran Rhetorical Rhymin' Seminar?

Just found yet another poll reference via the CA GOP, showing a 44-43% race. Unclear as to who has the 44%, not that it matters statistically.

Statistically that means its a dead heat. Add it all up and Gray Davis is walking dead. He should be running away with this election considering he IS the incumbent here. So far he's on track to become the first California Governor to lose office after just one term in more than 60 years.

What do you expect when Willie Brown is the mayor? SF is going down fast. The last few times I've been in the city, I have been appalled at how dirty it is. Even in the not so seedy parts of town. And there are boatloads of bums everywhere. The Civic Center area has always been pretty gross but it is definitely worse now. The theater district is disgusting and Union Square isn't much better. The so-called renovated South of Market is hardly a prize either. I agree, SF is an armpit. Willie Brown has got to go!

Wouldn't that be great?? 58% disapprove of the job Davis is doing - oh, how I love to read poll numbers like that.
GO SIMON!!

Cool!
We just had to give Gray Davis enough "electric cord" to hang himself

I am talking architecture, scenery, music, museums, food... and no, I wouldn't live there any more because of all the nutcases ruining the place.
I grew up there. I used to walk down the row of mansions overlooking Alcatraz on Pacific Avenue between Divisadero and Fillmore every day. I used to play in the Presidio nearly every day. On weekends, we'd go to a museum, Golden Gate Park, a Stern Grove Concert...
Don't call it "Frisco."
To: Mr. Jeeves
Visited SF two years ago, saw more panhandlers and bums on the street than I have seen here in NYC in at least ten or a dozen years.

I'll grant you the great restaurants. That's the best thing about (the only thing good about?) all of CA's "diversity." However, I have to say Seattle and Washington DC also have great restaurants, and, even though they also have "homeless" problems, they are both more interesting (and more pleasant) cities to work in than SF is. I really think this idea that "San Francisco is so beautiful" is a dated concept now. Maybe it used to be beautiful. It isn't now. I also hate the year-round foggy and unpleasant weather. (But don't worry--I don't call it Frisco, nevertheless!)
