Sex Abuse Wars: How CBS, ABC, NBC and the Gay Movement Suppress Free Speech
Wednesday, June 26, 2002
CBS insider Bernard Goldberg, in his book "Bias," compared the "media elite" to the "old Soviet Union" dictators as well as to Mafia bosses. The "News Mafia," as Goldberg calls the media, recently let its "reporters know that the regime will not allow dissidence against its ally, the gay movement. The recent crackdown on dissenters is national, international and regional:
Before the recent crackdown was solidified, however, U.S. News & World Report columnist John Leo wrote that studies have shown that no more than 5 percent of priests fit the pedophile description. He said, "Most sexual victims of priests are teenage boys [abused in homosexual acts], according to one estimate. A study of Chicago's 2,200 priests identified 40 sexual abusers, only one of whom was a pedophile."
Media Bias at Dallas Bishops Meeting
To get news at the time of the Dallas bishops meeting, reporters had to enter the underground world of homosexual spin organizations through their websites for example, on June 15, the homosexual "information group Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation
(GLAAD), through its moles in the Church, reported news that the mass media censored. Writing for GLAADs website, homosexual activist Cathy Renna said:
"We also learned more late last night about the anti-gay proposal offered by Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz of Lincoln, Neb. Bruskewitz's 'Amendment 27' would have stated that because the 'current homosexual culture' was the root cause of the sex-abuse crisis, the bishops would be required to force strict conformity with all Church doctrines on sexuality. His proposal was soundly rejected on a voice vote, with a source inside the meeting telling me that it received only perhaps a half-dozen votes of support."
During a victory get-together, Renna said she met with "a number of familiar media faces" and Anne Barrett Doyle of the Coalition of Concerned Catholics, who is a member of the steering committee for the lay reform movement Voice of the Faithful.
According to Renna, "Anne was one of the first people I spoke with back in March when we were cultivating resources and contacts to offer media outlets. ... Seeing Anne at the cathedral brought to mind how far we've come in the past months."
During those months, Cokie, Sam and the "News Mafia" had censored George Will, Pope John Paul IIs spokesman and almost all conservative spokespersons in Dallas who attempted to report the "link between homosexuality and sexual abuse by priests, which the U.S. News & World Report detailed before the crackdown.
(To be fair, the crackdown broke down temporarily when Fox News host Brit Hume drolly said that allowing sex-abusing priests to marry wouldnt help "unless you let them marry men or little boys.)
But for the most part, only gay-approved "Catholic lay reform activists like Anne Barrett Doyle who, together with the gay movement, worked for months cultivating "resources and contacts to offer media outlets, were allowed to fully present their political agenda as "news at Dallas.
Catholic Lay Reform Activists
Time magazine in its June 17 issue, not to be outdone by the gay movements GLAAD, had its own "Catholic lay reform activist, Mary Jo Bane, come forward to help the Church in its time of need. Bane said to Time that her "Catholic lay organization and "power plans were not "radical.
However, according to attorney Gregory A. Hession, president of Family Legal Services, Bane is a radical. He said at his website:
"They hate family autonomy, parental authority, home schoolers, and Church authority.
"This is not an exaggeration. Dr. Mary Jo Bane, Clintons [former] Assistant Secretary of Administration for Children and Families in the Department of Health and Human Services, said: If we want to talk about equality of opportunity for children, then the fact that children are raised in families means there's no equality. ... In order to raise children with equality, we must take them away from families and communally raise them. Her federal department is in charge of the national effort to mold state DSS [Department of Social Services] departments into their image.
"That is what the communists believe. The following statement issued at a congress of Russian Communist Party educators in 1918 sounds like the credo of the modern DSS agent."
This Clintonian bureaucratic experience is probably why the media and certain bishops are promoting Banes Hillary-like governmental ideas of centralized takeover of Church and family autonomy and authority. The bishops in Dallas created an Office for Child and Youth Protection to promote "safe environments" for children. Some have noted that so-called governmental "safe schools" and "safe spaces" are used by gay activists to promote homosexual agendas.
Some have joked that this is "an extension of the full employment act for homosexual and liberal Church bureaucrats. Some wonder if this is not another way to attack the very ones who for two decades have been fighting against homosexual sex abuse and other abuses in the Church that is, the faithful orthodox Catholic laity and priests.
The Child Protection Services under the DSS agents are notorious for taking children away from parents without any proof or due process, with usually only anonymous accusations. With the homosexual network inside the Church called the "lavender mafia in control of many diocese bureaucracies, will orthodox laity and priests be targeted while homosexual sex abusers are protected by their gay allies?
Homosexual Network Within the Church
Many believe that the homosexual network within the Church protected the gay sex abusers at the Dallas meeting. As the National Reviews Rod Dreher pointed out on June 13, "the need to avoid the elephant in the sacristy [the fact that the vast majority of priest sexual abusers are homosexuals], in Mary Eberstadt's memorable phrase, is perhaps the only point on which the bishops and the media agree.
To this end, the bishops running the Dallas meeting, according to the June 13 National Reviews article, had staged "briefings for the media on various aspects of the abuse scandal" by psychiatric panelists such as Rev. Canice Connors, Rev. Stephen Rossetti and others with a pro-homosexual agenda.
Connors is known among sex abuse victims for his psychiatric and "spiritual assessment" of mass pedophile Fr. John Geoghan. He wrote that "there are no particular recommendations concerning his spiritual life since he is involved in spiritual direction and seems to have a good prayer life."
While accepting psychiatric advice from the likes of Connors, the bishops in control of the meeting, however, refused the expertise of Catholic Medical Association (CMA) psychiatrists, who are faithful to the Church's full teachings. The CMA considered so-called expert Stephen Rossetti's advice to bishops as creating "a big part of" the sex abuse problem.
National Review's Dreher said, "The Rev. Stephen Rossetti, current president of St. Luke's, who is believed by some psychiatrists associated with the Catholic Medical Association to have been a big part of the problem, owing to the advice he's been giving bishops. Rossetti has most recently been downplaying the role homosexuality plays in the scandal."
American Psychiatric Association's "Lavender Mafia"
The "lavender mafia" (the homosexual network within the Church) was probably the reason the Catholic Medical Association's psychiatrists were banned, according to Dreher. According to psychiatrist Jeffrey Satinover, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) had its own "lavender mafia" when it voted to "normalize homosexuality" in the early 1970s.
The non-scientific as well as non-democratic Marxist and Nazi strategy used by the "lavender mafia" for its successful coup of the APA was explained by Satinover. The tactics used against the APA in the "normalization of homosexuality" are presented in his book "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth." The Congressional Record of May 1996 called it the "best book on homosexuality written in our times."
Satinover said, "[T]he leadership of a homosexual faction within the APA planned a 'systematic effort to disrupt the annual meetings of the American Psychiatric Association.' They defended this method of 'influence' on the grounds that the APA represented 'psychiatry as a social institution' rather than a scientific body or professional guild."
As all can see, the "News Mafia" and the "lavender mafia" (the gay movement) are not respecters of freedom of speech or scientific bodies. They have created their own Iron Curtain, which is suppression of free speech.
The News Mafia, the Lavender Mafia and the Democratic Party Axis
The Berlin Wall was the symbol of Marxist ideology. Goldberg in "Bias" called ABC, NBC and CBS the three big "News Mafia" families. These "Big Three" are a large basis of the gay movement's power. The "News Mafia" is the New Berlin Wall that is even now starting to crumble, as did the Berlin Wall and the "evil empire" which built that wall.
Goldberg's "Bias" is like Alexsandr Solzhenitsyn's "Gulag Archipelago," the beginning of the end for the new "evil empire." If talk radio and news sources like NewsMax continue to courageously fight the bias and lies of the "Big Three," then they will crumble as more and more viewers leave them.
But even the "Big Three" are only stooges of the New York Times and Washington Post. Goldberg said, "The problem is that so many TV journalists simply dont know how to think about certain issues until the New York Times and the Washington Post tell them what to think. Those big, important newspapers set the agenda that network news people follow."
In the case of the newspaper of record, the gay movement appears to hold in bondage the New York Times in more ways than one. NewsMax ran an article about Accuracy in Media's Reed Irvine's inquiry into the Times' bias. (See: New York Times on Defensive.) Irvine said Richard Berke, a national political correspondent for the Times, spoke at a gathering of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.
Irvine says that Berke assured the homosexual group that the Times would remain very receptive to the gay agenda because "three-fourths of those who regularly attend the daily meetings that determine what will be on the front page of the Times the next morning are 'not-so-closeted' homosexuals."
Goldberg unwittingly in analogy showed a similar situation at CBS when he said, "If CBS News were a prison instead of a journalistic enterprise, three-quarters of the producers and 100 percent of the vice presidents would be Dan's [Rather's] bitches."
Norman Mailer explains why the totalitarian relationship Dan Rather had with his CBS News producers and vice presidents, as well as his denial of natural objective truths, can lead to a Nietzschean will-to-power situation. In his book "Prisoner of Sex," Mailer showed why this moving away from natural objective truths such as heterosexual sex can lead to the homosexual prison totalitarian will to power.
This totalitarian will to power and denial of natural objective truths may be the reason why Goldberg considered the media's anti-conservative bias against the great "social" issues such as abortion and homosexuality to be even greater than against the "Democrat-versus-Republican sort" of issues.
He said, "Why were we doing PR for the AIDS lobby by spreading an epidemic of fear, telling our viewers about how AIDS was about to break out into mainstream heterosexual America, which simply was not true?
But even in this, there is a political dimension. Former Gov. Pete du Pont pointed out in a Wall Street Journal article after the Bush-Gore 2000 presidential race that, when he compared maps, the adult video rental map and the map of the counties that went for Gore were the same.
E. Michael Jones, the editor of Culture War magazine, said, "If they want to survive as a party, the Republicans have to understand first of all, how sexual liberation is a form of political control, and secondly, how the Democrats increase their political power by mobilizing sexual deviance ... things like pornography and its scholastic variant, sex education, in addition to abortion and homosexuality. ... Those who are stupid enough to identify themselves with their sexual vices can always look to the Democratic Party and the dominant media culture as sympathetic to ... guarantee his bondage."
Soviet Republics of CBS, ABC and NBC
The next battle in this war for freedom against the gay-media axis is again in the Catholic Church. The gay movements spin organization GLAAD has already pointed to the next battle:
"With the Apostolic Visitations of U.S. seminaries expected to begin in August [and expected to last for two years], Dignity/USA and other church reform groups are going to be monitoring to see whether Vatican leaders will quietly attempt to purge gay men from the priesthood. GLAAD will be working closely with Dignity and our respective contacts inside the church to make sure the media are closely monitoring the process and outcomes of these visitations.
Times May 20 issue in its preparation for the Apostolic Visitations of U.S. seminaries showed its strategy by using words like "hate" and "scapegoat" to color faithful Catholics and the Church's attempt to uphold its 20-centuries-old moral teachings in its own seminaries. The piece quoted a homosexual priest saying, "We're all sort of like Anne Frank's family, up in the attic, waiting for the Nazis to come."
This is the same Soviet-Clinton strategy used on CBS insider Goldberg after he wrote about bias in the media. The liberal Goldberg was ripped as a right-wing scoundrel by Dan Rather and other media elites using words like "wacky charge," "weird," "bizarre" and "political activist" to discredit him and "divert attention" from the media elite's bias.
This shows that the dominant media comprise one of the last bastions of suppression of free speech within their own sovereign domain since the fall of the USSR. Goldberg in his own words was made a "nonperson because he used his constitutional right of free speech to expose corruption in the Soviet Republics of CBS, ABC and NBC.
As liberal Goldberg said, "I was pointing fingers at the media elite, which only proved that I was the one who had a bias problem. Wasnt this what used to happen on a much scarier and devastating scale, for sure in the old Soviet Union? A dissident says the elite are corrupt, so the elite throw him in the Gulag because his accusations prove beyond any doubt ... that the dissident is insane."
Media Elites Soviet-Clinton Strategy Against the Catholic Church
As in the case of Goldberg, the media elites Soviet-Clinton strategy against the Catholic Church is false. According to Michael Rose's accounts in "Goodbye, Good Men," the orthodox heterosexual seminarians are the victims of Nazi- or Stalinist-like strategies, not the homosexual network.
Father John Trigilio of the Harrisburg diocese said to Rose that the totalitarian gay subculture in the seminaries, which includes the faculties, made his 12 years in the schools something out of Alexsandr Solzhenitsyn's "Gulag Archipelago."
Also in Roses book, a priest in the diocese of Austin, in reference to the pro-homosexual seminaries, said: "[T]he dynamic paralleled the brain-washing strategies of the Communist re-education camps. Even the connotations of the terms 'rigid,' 'pre-conciliar,' 'anti-community' resonated with Communist terms like 'capitalist,' 'bourgeois,' and 'anti-democratic.' "
All persons who love freedom must be prepared to monitor the gay-media axis' spin and tactics of "influence" at the Vaticans Apostolic Visitations of U.S. seminaries.
If faithful Catholics and the Church's attempt to uphold its 2,000-year-old moral teachings in its own seminaries can be terrorized by the same Marxist and Nazi tactics used on the American Psychiatric Association and Bernard Goldberg, what American organization or person is safe?

Some Catholic pundits have begun to talk sotto voce about after Dallas as an historic moment in the history of the Catholic Church in the United States. They use the phrase in the same manner that aging liberals use the phrase after Kent State or the Reagan Republicans employ after the fall of the Berlin wall. What do Kent State and Berlin and Dallas have in common? They are seen as watershed eventsa pivot in history that sent developments in an utterly different direction. It is ironic that the poles of Catholic thought in the United States perceive that the Church will head down the same road; dissidents see that road as the path to the future, orthodox Catholics see that road as the path to perdition.
It is not hysteria on my part to warn that the Church could be lost in the States one priest wrote in an email. There are dioceses where there once was a vibrant community, and today there is only secularismNorway for instance. The Church will never recover claim those Catholic Americans whose faith is like the seed that fell on rocky ground. Did you listen to the bishops? Not one addressed the real issue of episcopal accountability. Not one offered to resign! There is no faithful leadership in the NCCB, lament some conservative voices.
Meanwhile across the theological divide their dissident Catholic counterparts are chalking up a victory, We succeeded in keeping homosexuality out of the document. Counting eggs before they are hatched these liberals believe they see the AmChurch approaching over the horizon. The US church will become the church of the laity, now smirk the dissident Catholics in their Internet chat rooms.
The Village Voice, a pro-gay New York based newspaper summed up their view of the futurechurch post Dallas with this boast,
because of this crisis, the stage has been set for the kind of debate about church governance that has not occurred since Vatican II in the early 1960s. This discussion will probably not take place before the election of a new pope, but that will happen sooner than the disappearance of the scandal. The most likely outcome of such a process is a change in the character of the American church. Some power will devolve to local bishopsand even to the laity.
Another infamous dissident, self-professed lesbian Mary Hunt, was also smug, The bishops have met alone for the last time. Hunt is the director of a womens group that openly performs parody masses where women preside as priests. Hunt said there will be ..a shift from bishops setting the agenda to the people setting it. Of course, the people Hunt has in mind are not orthodox Catholics.
There were several prelates who stood before their brother bishops in Dallas urging that the crisis could not be solved by a failure to accurately diagnose the injury to the Body. Bishop Bruskewitz has been widely praised for his courageous remarks. Cardinal Bevilacqua stated stance that homosexuals cannot be admitted to the priesthood. Cardinal George delivered a serious warning that the Church must find the will to be authentically Catholic in this Protestantized, secular culture. Another handful of bishops engaged in behind the scene efforts to persuade the NCCB committee to acknowledge that dissent from Catholic teaching must be addressedall to no avail. One bishop decried the reality that the wider body of bishops have no control over the agenda for the Dallas meeting.
This is evident in the committees selection of two prominent liberals to address the this historic gathering, Scott Appleby of University of Notre Dames Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism and Peggy Steinfels, editor of the liberal journal, Commonweal. Appleby is the co-author with Mary Jo Weaver of Being Right: Conservative Catholics in America. The book sneers at prominent American orthodox defenders of the faith, such as Professor Ralph McInerny and Professor James Hitchcock. Worse, Appleby and Weaver lump these eminent Catholics with several fringe characters who hide in the hills of Idaho spouting Catholic prophecy. Both Appleby and Steinfels call for laicization of the Church. Both are proponents of shared power as an ecclessial model.
The average Catholic is confused. The nightly news lists poll numbers showing church attendance and collections are holding steady, while fully 50 % of Catholics have lost faith in their bishops. Individual bishops have delivered comforting and encouraging messages, others are overshadowed by the threats of lawsuits and the selling of assets to pay for the huge judgments. Ninety-six percent of Catholics want the Holy Father to take disciplinary action against bishops who do not remove child abusers from the ministry, according to Zogby International and Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.
Serious Catholic thinkers have delivered their reasoned post-Dallas analysis to their respective audiences. H.W. Crocker, III author of the acclaimed one volume history, Triumph: The Power and Glory of the Catholic Church, wrote:
far from being the authoritarian institution of black legend, the Catholic Church, in America in particular, has tolerated dissent to the point of criminality. When a Catholic priest can publicly embrace the agenda of the North American Man-Boy Love Association, as the now notorious Father Shanley in Boston did, and have his superiors treat this as a tolerable eccentricity, something is seriously wrong. And that wrong will not be righted by the introduction of more liberalism into the Church.
Troubled by what they perceive as the bishops plan to be more liberalas indicated by the presence of Appleby and Steinfels-- some Catholics have even whispered the S word. While schism from the AmChurch is not an option, the fact that it is mentioned, even in frustration, is indicative of the magnitude of the crisis in the Church in the United States.
The real frustration is the dawning reality: we must extricate the Church form this sinkhole. That is the most cogent perspective, post Dallas. How can we have any confidence in such a mission?
First, the Catholic population has been aroused. The issues of orthodoxy and liberalism will be openly discussed and studied. It is the time for orthodox Catholic laymen to be very visible --respectfullybut persistently. God raises up His people to do His work. Placid, timid Catholics now know they are in a battle for the life of the Church in this nationDallas should be understood as a call to arms! Do the degree that Catholics laity fail to defend authentic Catholic teaching, they are themselves complicit. To the degree that Catholics fail to become involved at the schools, university, parish and diocesan levels, they are equally to blame for the state of the Church in the US in the coming years. That is a sober charge, but it is point made by a great Father of the Church, St. John Chrysostom:
He who is not angry, whereas he has cause to be, sins. For unreasonable patience is the hotbed of many vices, it fosters negligence, and incites not only the wicked but even the good to do wrong.
Secondly, the Vatican will, however slowly and with deliberative care, take a stronger hand behind the scenes. One lesson learned from this crisis may be critical for the next pope. The Vatican II understanding of collegiality is still developing. As the universal Church examines how well national conferences, such as the NCCB/USCC have or have not served their flocks, the hierarchical Church gains a clarified picture of how the Church must proceed.
And last, as the history of the Church amply reveals, we have faced each internal crisis and survived not be cause we are a faithful people but because God is faithful.
A wise priest once advised me, When to the human heart all seems lost, that is when you understand that hope is a virtue, not just a happy wish. Hope is a theological virtue, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1812-1813). The Catechism instructs, The virtue of hope inspire[s] mens activities (1818). This is a time of hope, that is, a time of activity on behalf of the hope we have in Jesus, the Bridegroom who did and will defend His Bride, the Holy Catholic Church.
Find out more about this topic in our newest audio series Dissent & Destroy: The Truth Behind the Scandals.
Mary Hunt is a HUGE part of the problem. She is also one of Hillary's best friends.
Surprise, surprise. Malthusian population control freaks just can't stop covering for sodomy, so it seems.
Is there a chance of a closeted homosexual priest taking the current Pope's place after his death? Imagine the implications if that occurred.
This has been going on, as a matter of concern for conservatives, since about the late '70s. Catholics in America are roughly divided into conservative and more liberal factions. As with the rest of the culture war in U.S. society, it's a battle royal, that's for sure. Most Catholics I know deplore the homosexualization which has gone on in various parts of the Church. There will have to be a serious crackdown or the institution will be marginalized. The bishops must decide where they stand.
If only this were actually true.
Of course she's a radical. Anyone associated with these sodomite groups are radical. Their message is a radical departure from natural law. That, in and of itself, makes them radical in the truest sense of the word.
The true soul of the problem lies in the heart of the church,,,,its blind eyes and concealed & protected criminals.
why anyone would donate to this corrupt bunch is astonishing. It amounts to nothing more than the defense fund for clinton....wealthy people or those without common sense paying off criminal activity.......and some wonder why i dont practice anymore
I agree with that. However, the rest of your statement seems a bit reactionary. I look at the financial disclosures of our church and the bulk of my tithe stays here locally for our ministries and facilities.
That being said, what we need now is a group of strong conservative clergy to take the lead in this process of "cleaning" out the church of deviants. The other moderates and even the few liberal clergy among them will not have the backbone to get the job done.
"Let´s look at gay behavior as defined by two gays, Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen Ph.D., authors of After the Ball: How America will Conquer its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90´s (1989).
In Chapter Six, they outline ten categories of misbehavior, drawn from their own experiences, wide reading and thousands of hours of conversation with hundreds of other gays...
What follows are some highlights. As you read this, ask yourself if there is another human community, including the Mafia that could make these generalizations about itself. Ask yourself if we haven´t caught this disease, or at least the sniffles.
The authors say a surprisingly high percentage of pathological liars and con men are gay. This results from a natural habit of self-concealment, and leads to a stubborn self-deception about one´s own gayness and its implications.
They say gays suffer from a narcissistic personality disorder and they give this clinical description: pathological self absorption, a need for constant attention and admiration, lack of empathy or concern for others, quickly bored, shallow, interested in fads, seductive, overemphasis on appearance, superficially charming, promiscuous, exploitative, preoccupied with remaining youthful, relationships alternate between over idealization and devaluation.
As an example of this narcissism, the authors say a very sizable proportion of gay men who have been diagnosed HIV positive continue to have unprotected sex.
They say the majority of gays are extremely promiscuous and self-indulgent. They must continuously up the ante to achieve arousal. This begins with alcohol and drugs and includes such forbidden aspects of sex as wallowing in filth (fetishism and coprophilia) and sadomasochism, which involves violence.
They say many gays indulge in sex in public bathrooms and think it is antigay harassment when it is stopped. Many think they have a right to importune straight males, including children.
Many gays are single minded sexual predators fixated on youth and physical beauty alone. When it comes to the old or ugly, gays are the real queerbashers. Disillusioned themselves, they are cynical about love.
Relationships between gay men don´t usually last very long. They quickly tire of their partners and fall victim to temptation. The cheating ratio of married´ gay males, given enough time, approaches 100%...."
I got a hardback copy too, signed by Rose here when he spoke in our diocese.
Then I gave away my softcover copy.
Wonder what it costs to buy by the case?
And then there's the problem of the homosexual infiltration of the public schools. Will the children ever be safe?
T'would be the most accurate explanation of the origins of the French word "gaie;" they were "gay" then and the lot of them are still so, now, a self-destructive syndrome which can spiral up and out of control when "tolerated."
Expect a bloodbath; t'is usually what follows such sweeping "political correctness."
I think the media has also played an enormous role in making this acceptable behavior, almost glamorizing homosexuality. Parents must be vigilant in teaching their children well.
I too have a copy on my nightstand. It is indeed worth it.
Then why don't they ever condemn NAMBLA? Because NAMBLA is the recruiting arm of the homosexual perversion movement!
Since those who practice homosexual behavior can't reproduce they must recruit. They do it by molestation.
Any exposure of children to homosexual activity is child abuse
God Save America (Please)
It's also a great bumber sticker!
