>>>He beat Bush 41, because Bush raised taxes and sold out his base giving Perot 19%

That's pure horses**t! Bush41`s reversal on his tax pledge, had little to do with him losing to Clinton. In fact, it was Bush41`s budget aggreement with Congressional Democrat's, that laid the ground work for the efforts of the conservative Republican Congress of 1995-1996, in balancing the federal budget.

Frankly, Bush41 didn't have the fire in the belly needed to assure victory. His heart simply wasn't in it. Some well informed political observers, say Bush41 wasn't a well man during that entire 1992 campaign and his efforts fell short because of his bad health.

Perot came along and appealed to the dissatisfied independent voter. With Bush not up to the challenge and with Clinton, a well known liar and phony, that allowed many people to vote for "The Little General" with no second thoughts. And what a mistake it was. Most people I talk to today, who are willing to admit voting for Perot, wish they hadn't. Hindsight is a beautiful thing, even in politics. Those people who voted for Perot, knew they screwed up and we all suffered through eight long years, because of their personal error in judgment.
