Florida Woman Wins Arm Pit Contest Chuck Woolery Hosts Event Posted: 10:03 a.m. EDT July 4, 2002 Updated: 11:03 a.m. EDT July 4, 2002
NEW YORK -- A Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., woman won an unusual contest Wednesday to find the most beautiful underarm pit in America.
The All-American Dove Deodorant Most Beautiful Underarms Pageant pitted women from 50 states against each other to find the perfect armpit.
The contestants wore tank tops and participated in several patriotic contests to show off their pits. The competitions included a July Fourth flag waving contest and the Statue of Liberty torch pose.
Nikki Bohannon of Ft. Lauderdale won $5,000 for having the most beautiful arm pits.
The event was designed to encourage all Americans to raise their arms in celebration of freedom, liberty, justice and the American way.
Chuck Woolery hosted the the arm pit contest.
