Some people take to boot camp like ducks to water!!!! I am glad he is doing fine. Jan seems to be doing better. She has to call her GI tomorrow. He wanted her on some prescriptions but forgot to write them for her before she left the hospital. She has not heard the results of the GI tests she had so guess she will find out tomorrow or this next week about those. Boy, it is HOT here. I think the humidity is down some, thank goodness. The tree people will be back out tomorrow to finish up the junk that is in the yard. We are going to have to plant some more trees but we will wait until much cooler weather to do that. We don't know what kind of trees we will plant, but hope they grow fast. We lost 9 or 10 large trees that provided lots of shade but one had limbs over the house and we were told that was the most dangerous one in the whole bunch. MamaB

Hey, Mo1 - I nominate you to be hired by the Republican Party to do research on the hysterical Demonratic screechers about "corporate" America. How these multimillionaire Dems have profited - especially as you say, Terry McCauliffe's 18 million dollar insider trading windfall!!!!

The Republicans should have their homework done and be ready to fire when ready at every attack by the Demonrats! EVERY ONE!

Just publish a list of the Dems in the Senate, how many millions they are worth, and then compare it to the Repubs in the SEnate - and that is for starters.

Then go after all the "entertainers" and their millions.

Two can play at the money - envy game - and the Repubs should go for it.....especially since the grassroots Repubs are, IMHO, much poorer than the "grassroots" Dems who are almost all either government or union employees!!! (Many Repubs come from the private, non-union, non-government sector - and MANY in the grassroots are small business people as well.)

And, also, the Repubs should talk about honesty and integrity not only in the Corporations - but in GOVERNMENT!!! And then talk about the multiplied billions that went missing from the Federal Government during the Clinton Corruption Criminal years!

Again, our President is always trying to overcome evil with good. But he must remember to let those who are loyal to him and to the good and right things about this country - go after those who are destroyers with the facts - get the talkers out there on every media opportunity - and counter the lies and smears.

And, these corporations better wake up and understand that if they don't start working for what's good for this country, they are the next TARGETS on the agenda of the salivating trial lawyers and their Demonratic masters!

I just watched cspan televising John Edwards campaign stop in New Hampshire.

The people talking with Edwards think he is on their side. How deceiving he is! How slick he is!

And he is only 49 years old! (One handshaker commented on his youth and he said - well I'm older than I look....)

While North Carolina taxpayers keep being kicked in the groin, in the shins, and stomped into the dust - this guy is up in New Hampshire ignoring our "oppression".....smoozing for his own power grab.

He is beneath disgust.

And, yet, normal appearing human beings trapse after him....It just boggles the mind.

But there will be time enough to bring to the forefront Edwards' deception.

For now, we have a country and a President to work for and to pray for! :-) Yes, WHEW!

To all of you who have been writing on this thread for the past two days about the urgent need for prayer for W and how this is a spiritual battle as well as an earthly battle going on and the evil lies and attacks which are being planned by those who want him destroyed; I hope you continue constantly to bring this up in the eloquent way you have throughout the coming days. Even though we pray for W and our country, this spurs us on to more fervent and more often prayer.

During the Florida days before W was finally elected president, my husband and I printed signs in very large letters and hung them on our walls: "There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD" Prov. 21:30. Since December 14, 2001 that sign hangs next to the Midland Reporter-Telegram front page which features a full page picture of W smiling with the headline, "GAME OVER, BUSH WINS!!" Believers' earnest prayers are needed and God will do what we can't.
