I hate to agree with Maxine Waters but a dead clock is right twice a day. The officer should be fired.
To: EaglesUpForever
I don't agree with Maxine Waters. She made this a race issue because she's a racist. And she didn't notice one of the cops is black and did nothing to stop this. But the kid was wronged. The police report said he didn't react fast enough but he has a hearing impediment and a speech impediment and he's intellectually challenged. In Florida they recently released a young man from prison who is retarded who confessed to a murder because he didn't understand what he was signing and they were beating the confession out of him.
To: Prodigal Daughter
Well, right, it shouldn't be a race issue. But the officer was definitely out of line.

Resist arrest, get your a** kicked. Gosh, why that's just unbelievable. </sarcasm>

Another case of DWB...
LAPD Report: "...suspect repeatedly tried to attack officer's fist with his face, chest, and groin area..."

I think a good trial lawyer is needed to take them to the cleaners. The taxpayers in this area should learn a lesson and pay the price for this cop's dirty deeds.

Add filing a false report to the charges.

While I seriously doubt that these cops started beating them for no reason and I don't think it was racially motivated, I DO think it was wrong to abuse the kid after he was cuffed in that manner.

The only person I feel sorry for is the cop. The kid's going to get big ones for a few bruises---that's not bad for copping a 'tude.

Too say nothing of the orgasms given to Cnn and staff. They keep on repeating and repeating and repeating. Cheap thrills for liberals. A little heavy by the boys in blue there(conceded). The press cares not one whit for the lad. Of course, while getting off on it, they can press their agenda- police hate, society hate, America hate. Cheers.

The cop should be fired and so should the supervisor on the scene. This cop was way out of line. Once the boy was handcuffed he had no reason to pick him up and throw him on the car or hit him. Video cameras in the police cars would eliminate a lot of this BS.

I think these videos are SET-UP!There are just too many of these that are too handy. To be in exactly the right place at the right time with a video recorder and to record ONLY this type of an event wreaks of some political motive, agenda motive or laying the groundwork for a lawsuit!
To: EaglesUpForever
On the Abrams report, the officer's defense attorney is being interviewed, defending the indefensible. Abrams says, "surely the punch to the face is indefensible." The defense attorney said, "but the camera doesn't show the rest of his body, we don't know what his hands or his feet were doing."

Given the track record of most police departments, it's pretty easy to police hate. Racial profiling, "mistaken" shootings, bribes and payoffs, illegitimate arrests, general harrassment--yeah, count me in with the police haters.
Until police departments begin to clean up their acts, then this is what will happen--whether this was racially motivated or not, we sure don't see too many videos of young white kids getting the crap beat out of them by police. Geez, I'm white and I even notice the difference in attitudes of the police between white folks and black folks.
Respect has to be earned, and if I were a citizen of LA, I certainly don't think I'd have too much respect for the police department out there, not after the past 10 years.
By the way, doesn't LAPD video tape all traffic stops? That would seem extremely prudent given the charges in the past few years, but hey--if they are true, guess you don't want them on tape.
To: INSENSITIVE GUY
What? I happen not to own a video-camera, but some people act like they are attached to them via umbilical cord.

Fired and jailed. Let prison give his love life a little boost.

LAPD Report:Uh, LAPD had nothing to do with this.

Six one, half dozen the other. You get the general idea.
