...the Ku Klux Klan and similar white supremacy groups had used the Confederate battle flag as a symbol of hate and that the flag was racially divisive. They also used the christian cross as a symbol. Should that be banned as well?
(My ancestors fought in the 17th Virginia Cavalry.)

Why would someone be proud to do this anyway? You will never understand.

(My ancestors fought in the 17th Virginia Cavalry.) Co. B, 10th Virginia Cavalry here, sir. That was the unit of one of my great-great Granpas, Pvt. John Wesley Wagner. He's buried in Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The organization for you ladies is the UDC, United Daughters of the Confederacy. That organization predates ours and did the yeoman's work of seeing to it that the graves were tended and marked and that the veterans were honored and recognized.
They are a fine bunch of ladies.

``I have yet to see one, but I will let my eyes tell me how I feel -- if I can live peacefully with them,'' said T.C. Williams of Suffolk. The renown tolerance of the left raises its ugly head again.

I know Twodees, I was trying to be marginally funny. (sometimes, I fail horribly) :-)
I am already a member, thanks to the hardwork my mother and great-uncle did in researching. It does help to have a relative who's into geneology.
