I remember that one of the first long FR conversations I ever had was with Lex. We were discussing (this was in late 1998, I think) whether Clinton could be removed. I naively insisted that with enough citizen activism he could be, despite what the polls said. She was sure that politics dictated that he would stay, but agreed to fight the good fight anyway. She was right and I was wrong, but throughout I was impressed with her desire to do the right thing, and her heartfelt patriotism.

I am very sad to hear this, and I send my deepest condolences to her loved ones.
