Steven Rose, as you have probably already heard, is the British biologist who is organizing a boycott of Israeli academics. Read, for example, his hysterical screed which was published, fittingly, by the Saudi Arabian "Arab News". Rose has his knickers in a twist because:
Ariel Sharon refuses to negotiate while violence (i.e. Palestinian resistance) continues.
So I sent Steven Rose this email:
This is a photograph from 1933 showing Nazis holding hands to prevent Jews from entering the University of Vienna. What you are doing is worse than what the Nazis did, because you have not learned the lessons of history. Perhaps you consider yourself "jewish", but what you are doing is the moral equivalent of what the collaborating Kapos did at Auschwitz.
Steven Rose graciously wrote back:
hate mail of this sort may constitute a cybercrime and be put in the hands of the relevant police. Steven Rose Professor of Biology and Director Brain and Behaviour Research Group Joint Professor of Physic, Gresham College London Visiting Professor, Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology, University College London Address for correspondence Dept of Biological Sciences The Open University Milton Keynes MK7 6AA UK Phone and voicemail +44 (0) 1908 652125 Fax +44 (0) 1908 654167
Hails of derisive laughter, Steve. At least where I come from, it is not a crime to remind someone that they are behaving like a Nazi, when they are in fact behaving like a Nazi. So I'm scratching my head in befuddlement trying to imagine what "police" you might be reporting me to: The Gestapo? The KGB? The Stasi? The Iranian Revolutionary Guard? The Saudi Committee for the Prevention of Vice and Propagation of Virtue?
And the only crime here, Steve, is the potential crime against humanity of boycotting a country that is trying to protect its civilians from violence (not "violence") committed by the likes of the psychotic death cult that is the Hamas Al Qassam Brigade.
At least Steve was kind enough to provide me with more ways to contact him. So please, folks, send this guy letters, postcards, e-mails, voice mails, etc. and let him know how much of a dangerous fool he is to be shilling for some really, really evil people. (His e-mail address is S.P.R.Rose@open.ac.uk)
And if anyone happens to have a ping list, just ping away!

(Quote:) "Having marched against US-led wars from Vietnam to the Gulf, I have been a reluctant supporter of the NATO intervention. Of course, I would have preferred a European not a US engagement, as the Balkan crisis is Europe's shame. Of course one must anticipate that if air crew are not to risk their lives, they will fly high, and non-combatant Serbs will be killed. And of course, 'intelligence mistakes' will happen. That is the price of war.
But will Nato please explain why US and UK planes are apparently dropping cluster bombs on Serbian cities? These bombs are not designed to destroy military hardware or facilities, but to kill or maim humans. Answers are needed, and soon; 'just wars' require just means."
Prof Steven Rose, London (End quote.)
As one can see from this quote, Rose has humane reservations about certain war tactics, and doesn't like America (or our war machine, anyway) very much. However, he is TOTALLY anti-Serbian, and supports the Bosnian and Shiptar muslim supremacist regimes!!!! And he has little understanding of the realities of contemporary Serbophobic militarists and "statesmen" (both European and American)--of course they will use cluster bombs on the people they consider untermenschen!!!! And the strategy of THE ENTIRE WAR was based on destroying Serbia's CIVILIAN infrastructure!!!! The REAL "shame of Europe" is Serbophobia, and helping to engineer the Balkan wars by recognizing the breakaway ustashe and islamic supremacist regimes from what was once Yugoslavia.
Steven Rose is a creative scientist with a lot of blind spots and prejudices outside of his field, all of which are "politically correct". There are others like him, of course. That makes him LEAGUES above the much larger numbers of hacks and shills who support the NWO and the international muslim jihad, and contribute nothing else to humanity. But he is still VERY wrong, both about Israel and about Serbia!
Rose's role in initiating the anti-Israel boycott comes at no surprise.
Rose cannot even claim what the kapos might have, to be acting under duress.
That's not entirely true - moral blindness and mental density are a sort of duress, I suppose. It's certainly a burden he struggles with, anyway...
Thanks for noticing. (I don't do pics.)

The "hand-holding" pic is on the site, but as I said I don't do pics.
(I only thank people who have learned to use "please" and other normal polite terms.)
Perhaps you consider yourself "jewish", but what you are doing is the moral equivalent of what the collaborating Kapos did at Auschwitz.Do you realize that by comparing a legal and peaceful means of protest to the Shoah, all you are accomplishing is diminishing the horror of its memory?
The pro-life movement has on occasion used the same non-violent tactics that elements of the pro-communist "peace" movement did. Were there actions the "moral equivalent of supporting communism"?

Maybe someone should send Mr. Rose a book on the subject.
Middle East list
If people want on or off this list, please let me know.
Not quite. Steven Rose claims (and has evidence) that genetics does influence behavior, but does not absolutely determine it. He (and others) are doing research in that area, and are probably basically right. But a lot more research is needed in this area, of course.
However, in the area of politics, he has plenty of prejudices and blind spots (see my post #8), not only against Israel, but against the Serbian people as well. This is a form of "tainted greatness", displayed by quite a few other scientists and other experts throughout history, and in today's world. And he does have Marxist leanings.
As for Hilary Rose, she is not a biologist at all, but a specialist in education, specifically human development, family interactions, etc. She is also a Marxist, and a collaborator in her husband's wrongheaded political activity.
