The name was Valerian Trifa.Incidentally,Marshal Antonescu did not care for or trust the Iron Guard,and had their leader Codreanu murdered.This led to an Iron Guard uprising which was put downin a bloody battle in Bucharest.Something like Hitler purging the Brownshirts under Roehm because they presented a challenge to his power.In anyn event the Iron Guard killed numerous Jews during the uprising since they hated Jews more than anything else.The Iron Guard's actual name was the Legion of the Archangel Michael.I believe this occured during 1940.Trifa was an Iron Guard zealot who held a leadership position.

The three best countries for jews to be in during WW2 were Italy(until the Germans took over);Finland;and Bulgaria.All Axis powers.Jews even served as commisioned officers in the Finnish Army on the Russian front and in the Winter War.Ironic isn't it?So-called centers of "civilization"like France,Belgium,etc.couldn't wait to collaborate with Nazis to round up Jews.The Finns and Bulgarians flatly refused to turn their Jewish citizens over.

"Pollard's stuff got to the Soviets"

Pollard pleaded guilty in a plea bargain which the Judge ignored due to a submission by Casper Weinberger. Weinberger's "secret memorandum" convinced the Judge of the "irreperable" damage of the information passed on to the Soviets. But, it wasn't Pollard who passed that info but Aldrich Ames who in turn set up Weinberger to deflect suspicion from himself.

Because Pollard pleaded guilty there was no evidence ever presented as to what he actually did. The charge against him did not included anything in regard to the Soviets so your statement is pure conjecture. See HERE

Sure. Pollard was set up. Heard the same thing about every Soviet spy there ever was in America. White, Hiss, the Rosenbergs, Sobel, Dickstein, Boris Morros..none of them ever did it. I was wrong. You were right. Italy was the best. Margareta Sarfatti was the editor of Mussolini's fascist newspaper. Guido Jung was his finance minister. Guido Arias was Italian fascisms ideologue in chief. Toeplitz,one of the countries most prominent bankers, was a Mussolini supporter. Three senators--Ancona, A. Luria, T. Meyer--were Il Duce's sole economic advisors.A. Finzi, J. Pontremoli, A. Jarach, E. Jona and C. Sarfatti helped found Italian fasicms in 1919. Life was good until late in the 1930s when Hitler forced Mussolini to turn on his fellow fascists.

The judge who sentenced the Rosenbergs to a well-deserved death and the prosecutor who sought the death penalty were both Jewish.You routinely point out the activities of small numbers of Jews to characterize millions of people.It gets old real quick.

Don't forget Denmark and Yugoslavia. By the way, I just read the new issue of Newsweek where there was an interesting blurb, not quite a full article, about a certain provincial town in which many Frenchmen saved Jews at great risk to themselves, so the French should not be demonized en masse.

I was speaking of the French Vichy government.I saw an interview on TV where an Italian Jew in the custody of the Italians was allowed out and about on his own and wandered into a French Vichy zone where he was arrested by the police.He recalled being rescued by the Italians.Apparently Italian concentration camps were run like internment centers and no abuses are even alleged to have taken place,let alone murder.Survival was a matter of location.You're right about Denmark-I shouldn't have overlooked it.There were many Germans for that matter who concealed Jews from the Nazis.
