Yeah, no kidding.

That 'coon' probably saw the kid's cheek poking out from under the blanket and thought it was a nice peach!
To: Crowcreek
well I say it should have been taught a good lesson with a .22 at least, about the difference between a peach and a human.

Tell that coon he can go to whatshername if he wants a baby soft prime cut. Sounds like that's what she's advertising anyway.

whatshername - traci bingham. Just so no one wonders.

My idea for a story book ending here is for the kid's dad to make him a cute little coonskin hat (like the one 'Daniel Boone' Traficant wears!).

I despise racoons. Very few animals are as disgusting as they are.
They are pests and should be treated as such.Correction: they are nasty-tempered, disease carrying vermin.
Walt Disney and Hollywood did our nation's children a great injustice by portraying these highly intelligent and adaptive critters as "cute" and "mischevious". The dam* things oughta be shot on sight.

Perfect!!!

I agree. Shoot them on site.
I had to shoot a rabid one in my backyard a couple of yrs ago.
I'm afraid if animal control had of found out, I'd have gone to jail.

Poor kid. In a way, it's lucky he's that young - he'll probably heal very nicely, with little or no scarring.
We have raccoons out the wazoo around here, so I know exactly what they're like - I mostly see them on trash night, when they come out to dig around in people's garbage. Trouble is, that's also when the skunks come out, so, as much as I'd love to, I don't get too many chances to set the dog on them.
In a way, I have a sort of grudging respect for the little bastards. They're intelligent, flexible animals, that have successfully adapted to living in urban and suburban environments. It's almost a shame we have to kill all of them ;)
