For someone who dislikes HBO's Sex and the City as much as he claims, Drudge sure does spend an awful lot of time talking about that program........

as a matter of fact, he seems to know more about that show than most anybody else.

I predict he'll make hay over Rush's trouncing of O'Reilly in the talk show ratings.

Well Hole I think deep down Drudge is Sex in the City fan but it is true I watch that program couple times before it like soft core porno film

All you see is Sarah Jessica Parker being "Gangbang" by guys on the show

Craig Blankenhorn/HBO
Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in Times Square in the season-opening episode of "Sex and the City."

The Relevance of 'Sex' in a City That's Changed

By JULIE SALAMON

"Sex and the City" sashayed into public consciousness in the summer of 1998, when sex had become, if not the national pastime, the reigning political story. Monica Lewinsky had just been featured on the cover of Vanity Fair, and her name was regularly mentioned on the front pages of major newspapers. The Clinton-Lewinsky affair had made lewd gossip an acceptable form of political commentary, and "Sex and the City" quickly became part of the pundit glossary.

The show, a smart and frisky comedy, became an instant hit, and not just in New York, though the city became an essential character, an otherworldly backdrop of glamorous hedonism and larger-than-life yearning. This was New York rarefied, the glittering city of after-hours parties, where models and Wall Streeters mingle with the almost-beautiful and the not-quite-rich, and a crucial component of social I.Q. is the ability to spot a Birkin bag across a crowded room.

After Sept. 11, however, Manhattan acquired a terrible new symbolism, and economic uncertainty has taken a toll on hedonism, at least of the expense-account kind. Osama bin Laden has outpaced Monica Lewinsky by 17 to 1 in the pages of The New York Times over the last year. Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, the newspaper writer whose column tracks her adventures in dating, is pregnant in real life. Kim Cattrall, who plays the public relations vamp, Samantha, published a sex manual with her husband this year — in which she confessed that she didn't enjoy her 20 years of sex before meeting him. And earlier this month, Candace Bushnell, the sleek blonde writer whose libidinous columns in The New York Observer and subsequent book spawned "Sex and the City," got married, at 43 (to a man 10 years younger than she, but still, married).

Tonight "Sex and the City" begins its fifth season on HBO in a world solemnized by terrorism and, apparently, newly appreciative of the joys of marriage. What does this mean for a show that has relied on an unending sense of youth and blitheness? Has "Sex" become irrelevant?

Not at all. It's a different show than it was, not as lighthearted, but it's still involving and inventive. Chastity hasn't replaced promiscuity. There's still plenty of sex and plenty of talk about sex... more

LIMBAUGH TRIUMPHS: SMASHES O'REILLY IN LOS ANGELES; TOPS FOX HOST MORE THAN 23 TO ONE IN CHICAGO RADIO MATCH

**Exclusive**

In six weeks of direct microphone-to-microphone competition, Rush Limbaugh scored 23 listeners to every one which tuned into Bill O'Reilly on the radio in Chicago, industry sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Limbaugh on WLS hit a 6.8 share with 110,900 listeners every 15 minutes from 11 am to 1 pm; O'Reilly on WAIT pulled a .3 and 5,400. Limbaugh's audience in Chicago is 1954% larger than the FOX NEWS HOST, ARBITRON's Spring Book shows.

In direct Los Angeles runs, for six weeks: Limbaugh pulled a 4.5 share [107,800 listeners every 15 minutes, 12 years-old-plus] on KFI to O'Reilly's KABC 1.8 [43,700].

O'Reilly -- who declared during an interview with Don Imus in May that Limbaugh had "run out of gas" -- launched in May to heavy press and fanfare from syndicator CBSINFINITYWESTWOOD.

O'Reilly, the nation's top cable news host, also hit radio static in his New York City debut, microphone-to-microphone opposite fellow FOX Sean Hannity.

For six weeks of direct competition, O'Reilly scored a 2.8 share on WOR [down from Bob Grant's 3.0 average, previously in the slot] from 3 to 5 pm -- to Hannity's WABC 4.5.

At the risk of insulting anybody here who's a wall street playa, it seems to me that the biggest investors over the last however many years were just plain idiots. How many of us wondered aloud "what is Napster's business model anyway?" All these dot-bombs suffered from the same nagging lingering (ignored) questions. Didn't they?

You nailed it Lainie , but I would substitute idiots for greed / unimformed . Ok ;) there are some flat out idiots in the bunch also .

Wallstreet funded a bunch of get rich quick schemes and a whole lot of shallow flaky nonexistant models , and they did this to simply write business .

The web is the new paradigm and that is a given , but the same golden rule applies here also . Folks need to make financially intelligent decisions .

As far as I am concerned , if someone is offended by your post or mine so be it . Napster ;) , lol ! Napster was predictable .

On the other hand, I can understand what you may have imagined, from:

PHIL DONAHUE, HOST: Good evening. She’s a well-known conservative whose book, “Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right” is on No. 1 position on “The New York Times” bestseller list. Looky, here.
Well, welcome, Ann Coulter. You couldn’t have been meaner to me. I’m not in the book. What am I? A potted plant? more

To: LiteKeeper

Phil Donahue is such a bitch he makes George Michael look like the Marlboro Man.

Emasculated, terrified, hysterical girly-man without an original thought in his head. I'm always surprised when I see him on TV you can't see the guy from the DNC with a hand up his ass working his mouth.

I read somewhere recently that conservatives have a challenge penetrating the television market . That is fine with me considering you cannot interact with the idiot box .

I like the stronghold we have and dominate . Rightwing talk radio , books , coupled with the web . Nice buffer tune by the way .
