OK, so we free up all that land, (as if that will ever happen) and feed the world. Then the world population grows to fit the food supply (as is its' nature) what then?
a decline in our species is inevitable unless we get off this rock and expand, grow elsewhere. it is in keepping with our nature to grow - we just need more room.

Our population is pretty well self controlling in case you haven't noticed. The population of the earth isn't something that humans can control anyway.

Good insight but I disagree, world population is rising, longevity is rising, which means that more of us are being born, and we will consume more resources, longer.
as health care gets better, and more people propser econimically, the per capita resources we consume rises.
and with no major wars in the last 50 years or so, there are more per generation to reproduce.
