It's easy to tell the honest critics from the dishonest ones. The dishonest ones misstate the elements contained in the Patriot Act, TIPS and Homeland Security. They compare everything Bush does to Clinton and they dredge up phony terrors like Waco. The honest ones...well, so far, there are no honest ones.

You're right. I "see no problem" with anything Bush, Ashcroft or Rumsfeld have done so far and neither do you because nothing has been passed yet, so why not scream when you're hurt and not before.

Or maybe you and the other Chicken Littles are afraid Bush will succeed. That would leave the fringe out in the cold with the Y2K/NWO/BUILD-A-BURGER/ILLUMINATI/TRI-LATERAL idiots.

Frankly, it's really disheartening to see people I once thought were what one could call Patriotic, now genuflecting themselves to a Politician, rather than the Country which they used to claim to support.

And you know what? How dare those who see the bigger picture be told they don't care about their country.

I'm sure there are 'other' forums (and you know which one I'm talking about)that would appreciate your inciteful (spelling intentional) contributions since you seem to find those on FR so out of touch: Now, anyone who even remotely critisises the President is called a Traitor or UnAmerican.

What I don't understand is the paranoia that seems to drive this engine. We are dealing with a completely new set of circumstances in that it is more than likely we have cells of terrorists ALREADY LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES. I would say that set of circumstances is going to have to just inconvenience a few folks for the greater good. We are going to have to initiate some new 'rules'.......or pay the consequence when the cells are activated. Many of the rules initiated in this country during WW2 are NOT in effect now.

Don't like it? Too bad.
