The most popular game show in the Arab world is causing some controversy in the West. World Jewish Conspiracy Jeopardy, videotaped in Yemen and shown throughout the world's Muslim nations on Al-Jazeera, was recently criticized by Secretary of State Colin Powell as being "really mean."
The normally mild-mannered and cautious Powell shocked the international diplomatic community with his harsh words. The U.S. Secretary of State viewed World Jewish Conspiracy Jeopardy for the first time when he was invited to dinner at John Ashcroft's house recently.
"Ashcroft has a satellite dish, so I like going over there," Powell told reporters. "You can get reruns of Gomer Pyle USMC at any hour of the day. But I was disgusted with World Jewish Conspiracy Jeopardy and would like to call on Arab leaders to discourage their people from watching it."
The show was created by WeLuvBinLaden Productions last October and follows the regular Jeopardy format -- the affable host gives the answers and requires the guests to come up with the questions. ButWorld Jewish Conspiracy Jeopardy differs in that the topics every night are the same: "Banks and Governments," "Diseases, Wars and Terrorist Acts," "The So-Called Holocaust," and "Everything Else The Jews Are Responsible For".
A typical answer under "Diseases," for example, would be "all forms of cancer" to which the guest would provide the question, "What life-threatening illnesses were created by the Jews and deliberately spread throughout the rest of the world?"
A typical answer under the topic of "The So-Called Holocaust" would be "zero" to which the guest would provide the question, "What was the actual number of Jews killed during the so-called Holocaust?"
For "Banks and Governments" an answer might be "the government of the United States" for which the required question would be "What is entirely controlled by the Jews?" And so forth.
The show regularly ranks first or second in the Habibs, the Arab world's version of the Nielsens. World Jewish Conspiracy Jeopardy's success is attributed in part to the charm of its host, Iskender Al-Trebek as well as to the "accessibility of its questions," according to the leading Muslim academic, Professor Emeritus Nasser 'King' Farouk of the University of Qatar. "Most people in the Muslim world can relate to the questions and topics," says Professor Farouk. "And since the answers to the questions are all pretty much the same, just about anyone has a chance of winning, even a woman."
Farouk was quick to add though, that "your level of education plays an important role here. The more educated you are, the less likely you are to take home the grand prize, since you would actually know the real answers to all those questions and therefore not stand a chance of winning."
The grand prize is $25,000 U.S., and while some winners have used the money to benefit their own families, champions are encouraged to donate their earnings to the family of a suicide bomber on the Gaza strip or West Bank. A spokesman at Al-Jazeera said that though guests are free to do as they choose, they are "strongly encouraged" to donate the money towards the greater cause of killing Israelis.
The Al-Jazeera spokesman refused to elaborate on what he meant by "strongly encouraged," but Mohammed Akbar Abibabasababa, a recent champion who kept the money to feed and clothe his wife and fourteen children, is currently undergoing intensive physiotherapy to learn how to walk without the use of his legs.
Powell's tough talk aside, the show is expected to continue its successful run on Al-Jazeera, and talks are reportedly already in the works for several new spinoffs, including The $25,000 Jewish Conspiracy Pyramid, International Jewish Cartel Password and Who wants to be a Millionaire like all the Jews who Rule the World?"

It is????????
Pretty damned funny satire....satire works when it approximates reality like this piece does!-)
It would not be funny if they did not believe there was some truth to it. Face the show illustrates the extremely high level anti-semetism in the Arab world.
You mean attempted but failed satire.
Pointless drivel.
