Uhhhh.....how long can you last w/homemade chocolate chip cookies?

If you need more substantive food, I'll have to ask Mama to come along. Now SHE can cook.

I remember buying TWO candies for a penny! Bazooka bubblegum. Candy bars were a nickel when I was a kid. Pop was 25 cents.

If I know anything about you at all, Lawgirl, it's that you always land on your feet. No matter what's thrown at you, you shake it off and get right back climbing up that hill. You will do this again, of that I am sure.

You are going to get to the top of that hill one of these days. You are a survivor. I have faith in you that you WILL pass the Missouri bar and you WILL get the job practicing law that you have always dreamed of.

Do I like Starbucks?! Does a tall, white chocolate mocha with extra whipped cream cause hardening of the arteries?
What a silly question!

By the way, what region of the country are you folks from?
Just curious. I'm originally from a small town in the Southern California desert, but now I live in Washington, D.C.

Oh for Pete's sake. You moved??????? Now how the heck are we going to get all of this stuff done??????

I'm in Southern California. My daughter, Dear, is continually on the lam moving around.

My sixth sense tells me that the original description of your daughter's movement--"on the lam"--is correct ;-)

You are correct. Oh. Very correct. Poor thing. Gramps and I have tried so hard with her.

BTW, isn't it mighty late where you're at? And do you know where I put my glasses??????????????????

Oh good grief. So you are from Southern California. I had a wierd feeling that you were, that's why I asked. (It's that sort-of smart-assed, SoCal wit) I've spent the last two years in Culver City, myself. I'll be visiting my brother in Torrance before October, though, because I have an air voucher that will expire if I don't use it. Who knows? Maybe we'll do the cookie/Starbucks thing after all.....Then, later on, we can recount to the rest of the ladies on this thread how we were all rushed to the hospital with sugar/caffeine shock!
