It reminds me of the Alan Jackson song "Where were you when the world stopped turning?." TV news shows were like the SNL spoofs-- shows about stupid topics-- and then they had to do a 180 when the attacks went down. You get whiplash.

The networks will probably rebroadcast some of this this fall. People will be surprised by how much they'd forgotten about it (how they felt, the gruesomeness of the carnage, the fear about what comes next, etc.). I wonder how we will react to that realization as a nation. Time heals wounds, but that scar will be cut open fresh on 9/11/02.

Looking at that art site made me recall how dominant of a presence Bush was during that time. Many have forgotten the superb leadership he provided. They'll see his speeches and they'll see the people jumping to their deaths and Democrats better hope that they aren't looked at as obstructing our ability to crush international terrorism and punish terrorists because Bush's ratings will launch upward after 9/11/02.

A warning: There are some broadcasts that show the people jumping (and landing). I can't remember which ones, but I think they were the Spanish-speaking stations. Maybe BBC as well. It was chilling.

The image I have not been able to shake this last year is of an inhuman butchery on one of the hijacked planes. A 34 year old - six month pregnant - Flight Attendent got on the intercom and told everyone to be calm, nobody was going to get hurt and everyone should cooperate and they'd all be home soon ... and when she finished the statement given to her by one of the hijackers, he stepped behind her and slit her throat. Just that plain. A mother, wife and pregnant woman doing her job - and this animal cut her throat just for the joy. He killed her. She no doubt smiled at him upon boarding and probably got him a pillow at the start of the flight. He smiled and thanked her for her welcoming I'm sure.

I can't shake that. That's an evil that needs to be destroyed. That was on Barbara Olson's flight if I'm not mistaken, the Pentagon flight. She didn't see it, but the producer of Frasier did and he told the story to his wife before he was murdered.

Reid, Mousarri, Omar, Bin laden, the Guantanamo garbage ... they need to be gone. They would slit my throat, your throat, your children's throats at any opportune advantage. That's the way it is. You got a fearless cougar who has killed children in the San Gabriel mountain communities ... you search, hunt and kill that beast before he kills again.

I say we transport our Camp X-Ray thugs back to a remote place in the Sudan. We're releasing them within a Muslim state. A welcoming entourage of Bulgarian specialists could pick these boys up and they're on their own from there. 80 X 72 .... that's over 6000 virgins that will be needed in a real quick hurry I'd wager.

And the liberal left loves these people. They lift them up as freedom fighters. They cheer for them. They pour their adulation upon them. Because the liberal left hates America. Hates everything it stands for. Hates everyone who loves, respects, appreciates, fights for and defends America.

The great fraud of liberalism is what many conservatives believe to be true: that they are well-meaning citizens who are somewhat foolish and naive in their political beliefs. They're anything but. The despise everything this country stands for. They hold it in contempt. The sneer down their intellectual, superior noses at the very country that affords them the right to voice their opinions free from any opposition. And they are the rot that saps the strength of the nation when the nation needs it most.

From the university campus to the network anchor chair, either liberalism is finished or America will be.

Have you been to this site lately? I've been trying to access some of the video clips and am unable. Don't know if it's just me (upgraded my media player last night though), or if they've removed the clips from the site for some reason.
