A medical examination conducted shortly after his arrest, found flesh in Singleton's stomach that wasn't his own.

This is confusing. What was not his own, the stomach or the flesh. If it was the flesh I would think it was not his own

No, it's clear that it was the flesh that was not his own. If it were the stomach that was not his own the sentence would read: " (subject) found flesh in Singleton's stomach, which was not his own."
