This morning on C-Span Washington Journal, I caught the last half hour or so of the ambassador from Jordan speaking about Jordan-U.S. relations. They should replay it later or it will probably be possible tomorrow to just go to

and watch it online tomorrow. Americans called in gushing over the King of Jordan, and the ambassador didn't let them down. "Jordan is a society based on tolerance". (Yeah, "tolerance of evil", where homocide bombers don't get punished or extradited.) I haven't heard such a good sales job since May 30 and before that, April, 2001, (April Fools Day?).
Facts: Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews were denied access to places of worship. (The UN was silent while) 58 Jerusalem Synagogues were destroyed by the Jordanians. (The UN was silent while the) Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
