Donahue's lovely actress-wife Marlo Thomas has been his most vocal supporter, according to the insider. She was lovely, perhaps, 35 years ago. Anybody got a recent photo? Bridgette Bardot was lovely at the same time Marlo was - seen her lately? Ick.

Donahue used to annoy me 20 years ago. But now ... I like the guy. He's like a comfy old shoe, or well-worn sweater. What seemed offensive 20 years ago now seems tame, even nostalgic.
Seeing the old workhorse trotted out for a final run reminds me of my own youth, when I'd watch him and gripe the next day with my YAFer high school buddies.

So some idiots can also be catholics?
That's news?

Again, as the book "Bias" points out these liberal media outlets do not get it. Look at the N.Y. Times best seller list. What is #1 on their list whether they like it or not, Ann Coulter's "Scandal." Both of Rush Limbaugh's books were on there. His first book made it there in a short while before there were a lot of conservative books available or known in the mainstream. It is not surprising to me that Phil is bombing out.

Not hardly, dude.....Alan Keyes is a Catholic who also speaks his mind, & I (& many other FReepers, I'm sure) think he is a class act whose show was cancelled due to Arab & homosexual groups who couldn't dare allow anyone to have a national forum for criticising them. Let's work on getting MSNBC to put the honorable Dr. ALAN KEYES back on the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

: "Phil's time has passed,".......as has his leftist spiel. Americans are seeing thru it. I hope they live to regret getting rid of Alan Keyes. Its the only show I watched on that pitiful network.

Noone can compete with O'Reily at this time. Had they given him the ten o'clock slot, he might have had a chance. Not that I care. I never saw the show. How was it?

What a hoot, losing out to Connie Chung who is also 66 years old. So is Regis Philbin who owns an hour in the morning. So it's not age, Phil Baby, it's attitude.
BTW, Connie looks much younger, but I caught a minute of interview with her the other night, and she admits to being almost 66. Does that make her 77?

Accordig to
CNN Connie Chung is 55.

You all just don't like him because he is a Catholic who speaks his mind.Is it true Phil said,"The [Catholic] Church has always thrived on ignorance and oppression." ????
Or is that only a rumor?

When are the libs going to realize the public doesn't want their message any more?Er, maybe if they're all sent home on election night?
Failing that, you'll always see 'em out there doing their best to make it a better world. (*BARF*!!!)

When are the libs going to realize the public doesn't want their message any more?? I mean, what do we have to do to get the point across - liberalism doesn't sell in American any more. Hell, we've got barbarians taking down our skyscrapers! Over 3,000 dead and fires that burned until December.
No more Mr. Nice Guy.

And they booted "Alan Keyes Is Making Sense" for this?

Phil could televise his OWN execution if he wanted some ratings. Or did the Supreme Court make it illegal to execute morons?

Who will volunteer to tell the folks at
Salon (
Phil Donahue's Liberal Oasis) that they were very, very wrong when they wrote the following:
More likely it was good business that led MSNBC to hire the 66-year-old Donahue...
