Good to see you.

Donahue's senile. He doesn't realize that his cliche liberal arguments and insights are that--cliche. There is nothing cutting edge just tiresome. Excuse me I've seen this script before and that's what it is. I remember his interview with Ann Coulter; it was pitiful. I saw Couric's and Carville's and a least you could grant that both had spunk. Donahue's had none of that. And, I'll never forgive Connie Chung for a comment that she made during the Samantha Runnion abduction and murder. She said that Samantha assured her mother, "that she couldn't be abducted because she could run really fast and was as strong as Hercules."

What does CNN know? I swear she said she'd be 66 soon. She looks more like 55 however, and a well preserved 55 at that.

Pick 'em off one at a time. Now you've got me howlin', LOL!!!

When I was younger and stupid I enjoyed watching Donahue. Now I am older and wiser and I am embarassed for him. I wish he would just go back to the house, give Marlo a big kiss and have a cold beer.

"he also fell behind CNN's Connie Chung for the week"
But she is just as bad!!! She is so terrible! She stutters around seeming totally unprepared, asking stupid and incoherent questions, and acts as if she is in a dreamstate! Overly medicated, and in shock, her not being used to live t.v.!

My wife stumbled on the show tonight. I would rather stick needles in my eyes than listen to him. Phil Donahue's bulging eyes and wretched preaching make me as uncomfortable as Lady Hillary Macbeth's persona. Both of them act possessed and utterly self-involved.

just not the kind of high-energy circus performer Phil was like a carny barker, urging you to see the freak show. He was the forerunner to Jerry Springer.
Donahue's lovely actress-wife Marlo Thomas has been his most vocal supporter
She was "squeaky" 35 years ago, I'd imagine she's shrill now.

It's a sad final bow for a genuine TV giant.Giant,...like a dinosaur perhaps, is more like to describe it.
Ol'Phil belongs in the dust bin of history. He is a HAS been, but the morons at PMSNBC still don't get it, thats why his SHOW has tanked, he plainly does not have anything new to say than regurgitate the old liberal mantra over and over again, whereby every one grew so tired of it.
Well what can I say, I sure the hell I'am not going to shed a tear if he get's canned(wich it looks damn' near)let the market speak...that's all I can say.

Now that hell be free -- he can start a talk-radio show opposite Rush.
To: I still care
In the key 8 p.m. time slot, he also fell behind CNN's Connie Chung for the week. That means Donahue must be doing really poorly since Connie pretty much just sleepwalks through her show.

They blast Phil's style as too old-fashioned... I think 'irrelevant' is a better word. 'Old-fashioned' should be reserved for things which have substance and value.
To: I still care
I think the question is not whether Donahue will last but whether or not MSNBC will last.
I give MSNBC a year.

His sudden downfall has left the amiable 66-year-old talk show pioneer "devastated and humiliated," reveals an insider. The thought of Donahue being humiliated brings a warmth to my mean ole heart. Now, if only Donahue would learn *humility*...

And they booted "Alan Keyes Is Making Sense" for this? How about "Keyes and Donahue" a la "Hannity and Colmes"? That would be a hoot.
To: truthkeeper
Living with Marlo must have done it to him. I don't remember him looking or acting anywhere near this nutty when my mother used to watch him back in the '70's. His views have warped his brain. Think of liberalism as a sort of mental acid, that gradually wears away the ability for reasonable thought. The longer you hold such beliefs (and therefore the older you get), the more damage it causes to cerebial activity.

Its funny but conservative Alan Keyes show had better ratings than Phil Donahue's new program before it was canceled by MSNBC. The truth of the matter is conservatism sells while liberalism is a market disaster. What a pleasure it is to see MSNBC shoot itself in the foot by offering yet another (failed) liberal talk show.
