I think it's the height of hypocrisy that every Tom, Dick and Dirty Harry pretty boys who's ever used a gun to save his skin in some flick isn't out there.

Absolutely. I cannot believe that mass land seizures based on race are about to happen and there is nothing but a great silence from most of the world. What if, let's say, the white majority in a European country decided that they were going to expel all blacks and seize their land. Would we have a stony silence, or would the airwaves and halls of congress echo with cries of "go to war" to stop such an action. What, exactly, is the difference? Land seizure based on race is land seizure based on race, even when the "oppressed" race (which controls the government) expels the "oppressor" race (which will soon own nothing). And of course the seizure comes after years of random murderous attacks against these white farmers, designed to drive out those who survived.

All I can say is, if what Mugabe has done and is doing in Zimbabwe is OK with our state department, then it's time for a new state department.
