My money is on the hecklers being planted by the media to do a story on just this. An old tactic by the left.

ABC radio, owned by Disney, would rather die . . .

The latest earnings report would at least seem to be the start of a death rattle. We just need to keep on boycotting them!

I firmly believe that Hannity is afraid to touch certain topics due to his bosses being Disney. The entire format of his program is to suck up to the libs he has on......such as Susan Estrogen, and others that he lavishes praise upon. Ah, the whole thing makes me sick........the so called freedom of the press is a joke..

You'd better get back on your meds and go back to watching reruns of "Mr. Ed".

Reporters should to be told in no uncertain terms: The White House will entertain no further questions on the accounting practices at Halliburton and Harken Energy - until Mr. Clinton and his wife are pressed for answers about the most heinous crime ever alleged against a President of the United States.

bump for Time/CNN/CBS Rather not news

Just a small add-on, but one of the nightly news shows (ABC, CBS or NBC) recently referred to Treasury Sec. O'Neill as 'the countries' Chief Financial Officer' -- right at a time when CFO's are being pilloried in the press and by the public.

Maybe I'm being a little too sensitive, but my first thought was this was some reporter's subtle way to help the Democrats tie the GOP to the corporate scandals.

Also, I did not see any TV news coverage of Bush's speech in MS, I might have just missed it. I wonder if they will cover it the same way as the Jackson Clarion Ledger:

"A seemingly relaxed president rested comfortably on the lectern, delivering the type of homespun oratory near and dear to Mississippians — security on the home front, economic growth using fewer tax dollars, and locking up corporate fat cats who mislead investors.

"But the issue that drew the most applause and the greatest number of comments following his speech was the president's call for federal tort reform."

"Bush's policy speech wasn't the only topic that created a buzz. Many who listened to him were equally struck by the president's personality." (Jackson Clarion Ledger, 8/8/02)

From another article:

"President Bush hammered home his message of fighting terrorism, punishing corporate wrongdoers and advocating changes to states' civil justice systems to a standing-room-only crowd Wednesday at Madison Central High.

"The president said Mississippi, like many other states, must address the hot legal climate condemned by doctors and business owners who have clamored for civil justice reforms.

"'In this state, the lawsuit industry is devastating the practice of medicine. Too many frivolous lawsuits in this state have been filed against doctors. That's a fact. And too many jury awards are out of control,' said Bush to thunderous applause from about 2,300 people packed into Madison Central's gymnasium and the overflow room in the cafeteria." (Jackson Clarion Ledger, 8/8/02)

Nah -- let's just highlight a few radical losers shouting insults. That's what gets Jerry Springer ratings, right? Odd that didn't occur to them while Clintoon was in office.

Vice President Cheney is more than willing to respond to questions but at the appropriate time. What about Hillary Clinton who can't answere even the simplets question unless it is prescreened!!! Cheney is tough, he can handle this silly press. He will also be cleared of any wrong doing. Silly, silly, silly media. So into themselves.

More crying wolf by the on-line embarrassment for conservatives that NewsMax.com has become...

FOX News reported this story as well. I guess they are part of the conspiracy too?????

Sad but typical.

My money is on the hecklers being planted by the media to do a story on just this.

I don't know about being planted, but some media surely had advance notice of their presence. I watched the speech on Fox and heard indistinct shouts from podium microphones. Later, I saw a rerun on MSNBC. They had microphones near the hecklers which caught a much longer duration and clarity of heckling.

How did the hecklers get their tickets?

We all know it's true. The media sucks!!
This was a Clinton protest in San Francisco a couple years ago. There were AT LEAST 500 people and we made a LOT of noise and stayed for about 4 hours. Melanie Morgan even showed up with a bull horn!! The tourists didn't know what to think!!
The dummycrats around the corner only had about 20 people show up to support the moron & Babs Boxhead! I made it a habit to walk through them to 'observe'.
They were also in the cold shade which was appropriate.
Of course the lousy media gave just a blurb of coverage of us on the local news.
We were ALSO chewing their @$$es as they smugly strutted around.
This guy was so cool with the mask. Feel free to use the pic!

Bubba!

I remember the one 'Far Side' cartoon where the lizard alien man with a toothy alligator mouth and in a suit and hat, was confronted by a couple of thugs on the street. The caption said:

'Why yes.......thank you.....I...would......like..a....knuckle..sandwich!'

The Bush Administration must put media bias at the top of the list - returning a free press must be top priority - a country can never be and remain free without an impartial and unbiased press.

Unless this is tackled urgently, regardless of popularity polls, the Bush administration will be in deep trouble in 2004. America cannot sustain another demonRat president!
