BMW DEALER NETWORK MAP SHOWS "PALESTINE" BUT NOT ISRAEL!
BMW website ^ | 8-8-02 | dfu

On the Al Rantel show, he has just exposed that when you go to the Middle East page for the BMW dealer network, the map shows "Palestine" but no Israel. Interesting.

Regional map in English -- CLICK.

A caller informed Al that Israel had its own page, but why weren't they listed on that map and what in the hell is "Palestine." There is no Palestine.

Cognitive dissonance is alive and well... Apparently so is rectal dissonance. If I have an opinion of my own, based on the fact that I can't imagine them wanting to run off all Jewish customers around the world, and based on the fact that I can find multiple BMW sites all over the web referring to Israel, and based on the fact that BMW seems to have changed the site pretty quickly to avoid being thought of as anti-semitic? Thanks for pointing out there are no possibly thought out opinions but yours. Mountain, meet molehill.

Interesting. These scum at BMW have disabled the Middle East Area on the World Map. Didn't take these slimballs long to run for cover!

I've always said "When the potato gets too hot........."
These liberals and Politically Correct corporations always stick their finger in the air to see which way the wind's blowing. They never can take a stand on their own on what is right or wrong based on fact or common-sense. They are always
"blowin' with the wind".

This doesn't look good for BMW. Doesn't Ford own at least part of them now? I know Ford owns Jaguar and Volvo, but I'm not sure on BMW.

BMW has not been acquired by any other company. They have acquired some rights to use certain names, from other companies (Mini).

I doubt anyone outside Free Republic gives a damn, I doubt many if any Israelis give a damn!

Well, FWIW it was discussed on Al Rantell, KABC radio, Thursday evening. Both BMW and Mercedes. KABC is Los Angeles; and Los Angeles is (I've heard) home to more Jews than anywhere outside Israel.

So it is of interest to "anyone outside Free Republic."

Get a life!

Maybe you should organize a freep in New York and demand "Gotham Ford" changes their name to "Manhatten Ford",

If Ford can call a dealership in New York "Gotham Ford"
BWM can call a their dealer on the Westbank "Palistine BMW"

BMW (and Mercedes) just completely "overlooked" a minor mistake of omitting Israel
on all of its maps.

Yeah, just like the Arab construction company that just happened to leave Israel
off the map of their world-wide operations.
(A caller to Al Rantel at KABC 790 AM radio in Los Angeles said he'd seen this
at a constructions site in Spain.)

I'm waiting for the enterprising guerilla advertizing action to help BMW and Mercedes
out of this pickle by fine-tuning their ad campaigns to meet "truth in advertizing" standards:

BMW: The Ultimate Aryan Racing Machine Approved By Shar'ia Law

Mercedes: Things Are Not Always What They Seem
(We've got our maps prepared for the future displacement of Israel by Palestine!)

Bayer Aspirin is on his list as well.

"Aspirin was first sold as a powder. In 1915, the first Aspirin tablets were made. Interestingly, Aspirin® and Heroin® were once trademarks belonging to Bayer. After Germany lost World War I, Bayer was forced to give up both trademarks as part of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919."

"I can't read it, but here is BMW ISRAEL "

Look at it, in a mirror.

Didn't BMW just get a shakedown from Jesse Jackson? I thought I remembered him touring the BMW plant in the Carolinas recently. I think they caved to Jesse....
