Oh I LOVE that picture, FWI! Especially the way it says "YOU WILL PAY" in the background. I didn't notice that before.

I have a black friend who isn't into politics at all. She's into going to church. She said one day when TV was on during the campaign, Bush came on and she said, "That's the man! That's who we need." One of her teenagers said, "That's Bush!" She said, "I don't care what his name is! That's a man filled with the spirit and it shows and that's who we need." When she was telling me this story she ended it by telling me that her son, very intelligent BTW, told her later, "Momma, you were right about President Bush."What a heartwarming story! Thanks for sharing it!

Oh, gee RR, I am
so happy you asked! It's a winner!
btw, do you have access to that wonderful interview you posted when the First Couple were in Russia (with a Russian journalist)? You know where they were talking about their relationship?
I never saved it, and I thought it was wonderful!

"That's the man! That's who we need." Boy, was she right about that!!
Thanks for that great story, lonestar!

That is a great picture, I had not seen it before, thanks. Sure, I can send the interview to you. I have it on my home computer, I'll send it to you later today.

Thanks! I'll be looking for it!

Thanks for another powerful Psalm, FWI. It was especially meaningful to me today. Hope things are going well for you.

Great story! Thanks for telling that! Thousands if not millions of people around the world have come to the same conclusion.
Can we possibly imagine the indignity and hellishness of what it would have been like since September 11th had Algore been in the Presidench?
Here is one big reason this President was "the man" for this time in our country: His leadership of a nation in mourning. I will never forget him climbing those steps to the podium of the National Cathedral at the Memorial service and the speech he gave there. I will never, ever forget it!

Hey, there, mtngrl! Glad you liked that picture - I did too - and didn't remember it from the threads right after 911 - but found it when searching.
There are many other good ones at the WH website: whitehouse.gov - and how can we forget how this President has comforted - often away from cameras - those who have mourned?

Do you know where/when this picture was taken. This is definetely a keeper.

It was taken at the Pentagon memorial service, and I think it was one month after the attack of 9/11. When it was taken, they were playing and singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic, and people spontaneously stood and started waving their flags.
There's another picture with Laura in it which is equally compelling. I watched the service live, and sobbed the whole time.

Thanks for the reply and the other picture also. Believe it or not, I file most of the pictures I can get of them. You wouldn't believe all of the disk I've used. I can't imagine how I could have missed these two.

Wow, which brother is that in the photo that you posted? Is it Neil? GW's daughter Jenna really resembles him.

Can you enlarge that pix...thanks!
