I just think that she missed the point on why this story wasnt reported is all

I don't think she missed the point. Illustrating the way the media will ignore an important story by trumpeting one that isn't noteworthy required an example. If you looked for CNN coverage of this the next day, you got the "Jason breaks his toes while racing" story. That's all Malkin was doing, though she took time to poke some well deserved fun at Priestly, too. He is a washed up has been and a typical liberal airhead "celeb". The rest of her story was right on target, IMO.

Thanks gang. It's past time that we put the blame for this directly where it belongs.

The root of the problem is that the media ignored the story in the first place, which Priestly plays absolutely no part in, washed-up or not. CNN fills a lot of their airtime with what FReepers could call 'non' news items. The real problem is with the PC reporting, which many dont even listen to. In this day and age, when many are concerned about the security of our border, ignoring this story is inexcuseable; it should be the media's bread and butter. Priestly is irrelevant, and should remain so. Just my opinion...JFK

On Aug. 12, more than 700 mourners from across the country gathered to mark the tragic murder of Kris Eggle -- a 28-year-old National Park Service ranger who was gunned down near the U.S.-Mexico border last week. Not a single national network or cable news station mentioned the memorial service or the outrageous circumstances of Eggle's death.

This is the same media that proponents of campaign finance reform want to trust with providing "fair" campaign coverage.

She makes it sound like it was Priestly's fault that this story wasnt covered. Thats it, blame the celebrity. I normally like Malkin, but this article is crap...JFK

No, what you're saying is crap. She is blaming the media.
