Pretty amazing, but maybe they were a bit too kind in depicting our elections. They could have showed Democrats jamming multiple ballots through that slot.

I'll tell you what...I disagree with 90%+ of Kahil's cartoons, but I have to admit, he is very good, and very clever.

The opposition to current dictators in the ME will cloak themselves in the sheep's garb of democracy until they gain power. I don't see freedom ringing there for a t least another millineum.

Well, I'm not sure if we WANT democracy in the region.

You mix Islam with hot Arab blood, and vast majorities are out for revenge.

One could only win an election with promises to attack Israel and the United States.

When these freaks protest their governments, they are protesting in favor of MORE repression. Their current governments are not "Islamic" enough.

An english newspaper in S A. Perhaps they are just warning Americans there that things are a little different. They had better not read their bibles, the people have no say and their opinion means poop.

I don't even want democracy here! That's a situation where the mob rules.

They need to identify the rights of the citizens and limits on the power of their government before they start to establish policy. That way any attempts to go more Islamic in government would be met with a response that people of other religions have a right to exist and hold their faiths.

You: I think that's what the lady with the stack of ballot is. No?

Good catch! I hadn't noticed her before. I think you may be right, the cartoon might be a bit more sarcastic than it looks!

All they need now is to add a Secretary of State/co-chairwoman of a presidential campaign, ready to stop the counting if she doesn't like the result!

You mean ""a Secretary of State, ready to stop illegal recounts".

Ater all, without felon, illegal immigrant and dead voters (both brain dead and otherwise) - where would you Democrats be?

Facts matter, even when inconvenient for you. You should try them sometime.

And if a few innocent people are prevented from voting, no harm is done, right?

Speak for yourself. The disqualification of military votes was a travesty - but I suppose that's SOP for Democrats.

Yes, let's return to the original subject - and not throw out any red herrings using links to posts, because you can't personally justify in your own words these alleged disqualifications. Everybody knows about the military disqualifications - fact. What you might be throwing out as a distraction via some post which you cannot summarize, verify or justify is not something I or any other reader am obligated to do sleuth work on. Stick to the discussion at hand - don't try to let a hypertext link do your arguing for you.

The subject is the attempted theft of an election by your kind - and the stereotypical transference of this crime by Democrats onto Republicans, who in this case were blocking your larceny. Dig?

Yes, and let me welcome you to the Free Republic, where unlike DU, anecdotes are just that. Interesting though, that implicit in your argument is that disqualification of people pardoned for felonies, or those who plea bargained their way down to a misdemeanor, would whittle away Democrat votes in general. At least we agree on that. :^)

As for your assertion that blacks were 4 times more likely to be incorrectly identified as felons - maybe that would have something to do with the disproportionate amount of blacks who happen to be felons, or in some way involved in the justice system - way out of proportion to their percentage of the population. I guess you might call that a travesty of the justice system. I call it brutal statistics. But if the same error rate is applied to both populations (white felons and black felons) - you will get a reflection in the error rates of the original disproportion.

As for your indignation at my charge that Democrats would not be where they are if not for felon, illegal immigrants and dead voters, all we need to do is look at a little history. Chicago in the 1960's would be a good start. All the major stories of vote theft in this century center around Democrats - Kennedy and Johnson immediately come to mind. And then in this most recent election - the polls kept open beyond legal hours in Missouri, the early calling of Florida for Gore before the Panhandle polling sites had closed, the better than 100 percent voter participation in Philadelphia, Democrats are the masters of this particular stuff.

As for my comment about "your larceny" perhaps I made a hasty generalization - but I thought you wanted the Secretary of State to violate established Florida law - so your man Algore could get a second, third, fourth, fifth chance, or how many chances he needs to "fix" things to get a "fair" tally. Maybe I was inaccurate. But I don't think so.

Well, we agree on a number of points. One, that a disproportionate amount of felons would have voted for AlGore. That says something. Two, that a disproportionate amount of people who were mistaken as felons were black. That might say a lot of things.

But again, I reiterate that a disproportionate amount of blacks are wards of the justice system - as compared to whites. This is readily verifiable via any statistical analysis - be it by liberals or conservatives. And thus a disproportionate amount of blacks will be prone to felon classification errors by that justice system.

Now, on to the greater issue of vote fraud. I do not believe there was a plan to disqualify black voters, for the simple reason that they voted in heavily Democratic polling places - and white and black Democrats are united in hating the evil Republicans. However, we do know there was a systematic plan to disqualify military voters - the Democrat lawyers were the first to proudly announce that. And as for illegal immigrants and unregistered voters - don't think for a minute that a system that does not demand proof of ID is going to be able to deter that. And how many thousands and thousands of illegal votes did THAT garner for Democrats? I don't know - but I can match you anecdote for anecdote.

As for the calling of Florida before the conservative panhandle had closed - how many thousands and thousands of votes did THAT cost the GOP? I am not so willing to put this down as an "innocent" mistake by a left-leaning mainstream press. They know the rules - but they were letting it be known every way they could, how they were rooting for "our side" - even saying that phrase on air.

Finally, as for linking to articles - we can do that all day long. There's a thousand places I could send YOU if I thought that was an appropriate way to discuss or prove an assertion. But I prefer to make my points here, and back them up with upfront and on-the-table substantiation.

P.S. DU is the Democrat version of Free Republic, even if in concept only

We have the exact opposite problem hiere is Cali.

We have illegals being allowed to vote in elections. You don't even need to show ID here to vote....all you need is to recite your name and address.

I found out one year that someone used my name and address to vote in Hollywoood after I moved to Santa Monica. Election fraud is rampant out here and no one seems to care. As an example, look how both Dems and Pubs looked the other way when Loretta "Bunny" Sanchez stole the election from Bob Dornan. He had lots of proof, but no one would listen.

Of course, we can't forget the famous line from the Daley mobsters that sums it all up, "Vote early & Vote Often"

The list that was used to remove ex-felons from the voter rolls was incorrect, containing many people that should have been allowed to vote

Maybe the Democrats who maintained these lists can be prosecuted.

My point is that people that should have been allowed to vote, according to law, was denied that right because of a flawed list.

I don't have any doubts that some people might have been excluded erroneously. No system that big is going to be perfect. But the real and wilfull travesties are occuring on the other side of the ledger - and by Democrats in particular.

In a perfect system - all rightful voters would be able to vote -BUT...felons would not be able to vote, arbitrary military exclusions would not occur - nor would the illegal and unethical calling of Florida by the media before polls in the GOP-stronghold panhandle had closed. And most important of all, fraudulent voting by illegal immigrants/unregistered voter/multiple voters would be shut down. Put all those together and I don't think you Democrats would win a national election for the rest of this decade.

P.S. articles are "posted" on the web. I don't know why you insist on such a fallback defense. You're not doing that bad. A whole lot better than your typical DU type. :)
